Adam Holzman talks about the SV-1

We recently caught up with Adam Holzman , and heard what he thinks about the SV-1.
Adam has had a very successful career. He was hired by Miles Davis to play keyboards on the trumpeter's Tutu album, and stayed with him for four years, eventually becoming his musical director. He is currently on tour with Steve Wilson band. For more information on tour dates check out:

KORG, your SV1 is a rare product in the sense that owners are aware of how limited the functionality is, yet still incredibly loyal to the product! Please let us feel like we are not abandoned! the people want new sounds for their SV1's!

Adams 2018 album "Truth Decay" is definitely one of the absolute best recordings of the last years, imo.

Great demo of what you can do with the SV1. For stage work its easy to navigate quickly without menu diving. Great sounding instrument, enough variety. Love the number of Rhodes sounds. I listened to all the factory sounds someone else ran through, the string sounds were better than I expected, and the Oberheim sound was a pleasant surprise. Thanks so much!

Korg, kudos in having Adam demo the SV-1. He has been killin' it on keys for so many years (BTW, get his latest CD "Truth Decay" which is a fantastic project!), and his using the SV-1 is a great endorsement of this product. I bought an SV-1 88 in 2016 for so many reasons, and in 2019 it remains an aesthetically beautiful, beautiful sounding, and beautiful playing instrument that is an absolute pleasure to play, and your RH3 keybed is among the very best, if not the best IMHO. Kudos to Adam for demonstrating just how awesome the SV-1 can be at the center stage of your rig.

..one of the hallmarks of actuall and real greatness of a artist is clearly exibited by ada ms commentry...humbleness and modesty stand out very clearly....all there is to say...adam...you are so much more than a so called scientist....perhaps to describe you as a walking-talking-living keyboard in human form.....many many more years of good living to you..so we can keep marveling at your music...bless you..your brain-your soul and fingers...alllllllways...

For this ring mod/trem, try the Moog Tremolo pedal together with an expression pedal. It does exactly this.

When will Korg do a brand new sound pack with new banks? Sv1 will starts to get old if not.

I think there are now 2 sound packs: the one that ships with the SV-1, Sound Pack #1, and now Sound Pack #2: www.korg.com/us/support/download/software/0/240/1434/

What he said about digital pianos sounding good at home but not on stage... that would be my Yamaha CP300... great at home, not good through any pa system
