I'm not only a master yapper I'm also a master cheater. Apparently silence does persist after it's controller leaves the game. The ruling is that any continous effect with duration that lasts until that players next turn or to a specific point of that turn will last untill that time. I just knew that continous effects ended so i missed this and should've not been able to cast the noxious at the point i did! Thanks to Coach Memo for pestering me in my dm:s so that I actually looked up the ruling

22:23 What about the pact of negation trigger? the card was "countered" via deflecting swat earlier but still resolved?

Thanks for bringing it up. I thought it was just me. I think he still would have won because of his board presence though so, hopefully that helps with the misplay

The deflecting swat goes off the stack then the pact fizzles without a target

20:25 Silence is not until the end step, it's for the entire turn, right? Does a player dying really remove their own silence effect once it resolves and is no longer on the stack?

800.4m When a player leaves the game, any continuous effects with durations that last until that player’s next turn or until a specific point in that turn will last until that turn would have begun. They neither expire immediately nor last indefinitely.

im not sure if pontus is allowed to cast spells after dihada's death, anyone has the specific rulings for it?

if a player dies the turn continues without anyone at the helm. Other people can still respond to steps and phases changing

@@sPontusbut the effect of the silence goes away? Thought I saw something on Reddit that says the silence effect stays active. But that’s hardly the authority.

I play a very similar Dihada style list. It is a lot of fun. Blue needs a nerf in cEDH it seems. Its like aqua solitaire. GG guys, thanks for showing us your gameplay!
