Oh that's a great question! It's honestly been so long since I've used the ILIA foundation but I can definitely say that I do prefer the Kosas foundation. It just works better on my skin. I remember the ILIA foundation when I tried it, I noticed that it looked a little heavy on my skin but the Kosas foundation doesn't! But also I feel like I need to try the ILIA foundation again because it's been so long since I've used it. I'd say the Kosas foundation feels more like a lightweight tinted sunscreen. But it's not sticky or heavy like some sunscreens. It feels like a lightweight foundation with a serum consistency. It gives medium coverage and a natural, somewhat dewy finish though I'm sure that may vary a little depending on skin type but it's supposed to give a natural finish. I have combination skin and it looks a little dewy when I first apply it but then throughout the day, I'd say it's a comfortable natural finish where it doesn't feel oily or dry. The ILIA foundation still feels pretty lightweight but also somewhat more "oily" feeling because it does have quite a few oils in it but the Kosas foundation doesn't. I feel like that probably wasn't super helpful! Lol but I hope maybe it helped a little. I did do a review on the ILIA foundation though if you want to check that out!
