Yes the watch will always work with the phone regardless of data coverage as it's connected via Bluetooth. But obviously needs to be within 10-15 metres.

It's connected via Bluetooth yes 👍 You can control your phones music from the watch, but not playing music out of the watches speaker (if that makes sense)

Hi Guys, I wanted to understand how it works from a hiking point of view, does it show your position, does it show your track so you can see the hike or track back? Mainly want a smart watch for outdoor hiking, thanks for any feedback….lovin the channel

Unfortunately there is no navigation features other than the compass. Which is a shame because that'd be awesome at this price point. The outdoor tracking (where you've been) is just a basic map of where you've hiked, but not that detailed.

Wish you had mentioned if it had GPS and if it does then what satellite system does it use and how accurate was it. Does it have a compass that can be used by a hiking app for navigation and was it reliable? How many sports modes does it have and is it accurate at tracking them?

Sorry I thought I had said it has GPS in the video? But yes it does 👍 The built in compass is accurate yes but I'm not sure this could be used by 3rd party apps tbh as that would be a compatibility issue for the individual app. I think I also mentioned the 170+ sports it tracks and how it detects these. I don't do a 170+ sports so obviously haven't tested them all lol

hi guys,hope your both doing well.i was wondering if you could tell me about any cheap campsites in the lakes.i watched a video of yours were you was planning on staying at a campsite but they wanted £40p/n minimum 2 nights stay.you were disgusted at the price,you guys said you pay £8p/n.do you know of a cheap campsite by water so I can kayak.hope you can help.(I leave no trace)thanks take care.

thank you guys,you can fly to Spain for what some places are asking,how on earth can sleeping in a field with no facilities cost £30 a night.just come back from Coniston over weekend and at times thought I was in Glastonbury,music booming from different places lights flashing rubbish everywhere.it was chaos.once again thanks guys.take care.

Look good GnZ, but how good are they when using them outdoors? Compass, GPS, navigation apps that integrate with them etc.

As far as I know navigation apps aren't compatible with them yet (could be wrong on this). Which would be an awesome upgrade at this price point.

Great review as usual but there are no smart watches that can measure blood pressure, lots of them say they can but they definitly can not they just say its around 120/80 ( mine is 170/100 and they say its 120/90)Omron tried and it had an infatable cuff

The watches use a technique called photoplethysmography (PPG) allows the watch to emit light into the skin and measure changes in light absorption to calculate blood pressure. This is how they measure blood pressure (apparently)

@@GarethZoeWildcamps thats for oxygen saturation and heart beat . a ny watch without an inflatable cuff cannot measure blood pressure otherwise every doctor in the world would be using them . Omron were the only ones to attemptit , they make medical grade blood pressure monitors

No it definitely says that's the method for how they (these watches) measure blood pressure (Google it). I'm not saying it's medical grade (we never would) but they give me a ballpark figure that's inline with my cuff monitor that's calibrated. Same story for both of us. Dunno what to tell you other than our own personal experience 🤷

Not blaming you or your fantastic channel that I love greatly..But I would love to try one ...Like I said my BP is always 165/100 (or more)... The smart watches I have tried just randomly say its around 110/75....which is "accurate " if your BP is normal.Tis a subject dear to my heart (yes).every time I see a doctor they sternly say "we MUST get these numbers down" and then prescribe me medication that makes me faint and be unable to function ....apparently My body is soo stupid that it accidently makes my blood pressure to high....what do I know its them numbers that matter ... love you both though XX

I've recently been put on Ramipril 2.5 to bring mine down. High BP runs in the family and I finally went and addressed it recently. Apart from a bit of a dry cough it's been ok. Might be worth trying a few different ones.
