Giving this one to Kotal pretty easily. Kotal was a bigger disappointment and got done dirtier simply because he clearly had more potential, but he atleast had various wins in the story and his impact was memorable. Necalli legit got washed by everyone and was even laughed out the room by M.Bison lol sometimes I even forget he's in the game until videos like this

Kotal in the comics was a savage and had the potential to be the Aztec equivalent of Kratos for the MK universe but they dropped the ball big time. Such a shame. Hopefully they can give his character some redemption if he appears in the New Era.

Kotal Khan had some notable feats and accomplishments in Mortal Kombat. Bested Mileena, Shao Khan, Baraka, Goro, Rain, Tanya and tanked Shao Khan's hammer. Yes he regressed and died but he has something to hold on. Necalli literally done nothing. Jobbed out to Dhalsim, Bison, Charlie, F.A.N.G, Balrog and Ryu before being destroyed by Akuma.

I hope they don’t do the same thing to JP to M Bison just bury him because the OG big bad came back I notice they always do that like like they will have a character try to follow up the legacy of a past iconic character whom is presumed dead and when that character retconned from death comes back they scrap the new character wouldn’t be surprised they bring Heihachi back for T8 as a DLC 😂😂

Love this format, it takes into account all aspects of a character and is way more interesting than the bland "who would win a 1v1 fight". Nice touch on pairing characters with a similar background together.

Kotal is better imo. Yes he got buried after his chapters but he did have some wins. His story is also more original. Necalli comes off as bootleg Ogre storywise.

The biggest take away is the fact BOTH ARE GODS yet Kotal really defines how a God moves. Im SHOCKED to find out Necalli is considered God Tier, Beerus would HAKAI that boy QUICK if he knew.

I think Necalli would win honestly when it comes down to a fight being on par with Evil Ryu and existing for so long. But Kotal does have more importance in the story and was utilized a little better.

Both are absolutely trash and pathetic. I can’t believe how bad both these cool looking characters were butchered. But the thing is, Kotal was intentionally made into a joke. From getting beat in his own trailer, losing to Kung Jin in front of his realm, getting crippled by Shao Kahn. Getting beat by his girlfriend. Got killed by Shao Kahn and he got beat off screen in a tournament. It’s gross what they did to Kotal. With Necalli it doesn’t feel like they intentionally made him a bum. But someone at NRS hated Kotal Kahn. Just disgusting with what their own creation and buried him.

This series IS GREAT must do more you should do Boxer multi matches like Balrog, TJ Combo, Steve Fox, Nelson and Vanessa KOF or like Native Americans Nightwolf, Rick Strowd from RB Fatal Fury, Thunder from Killer Instinct, T Hawk top of my head you get my gist or like a Main Protagonist one for sure like Ryu/Alex, Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard, Ryo Sakazaki, Liu Kang/Shujinko/Taven, Jin Kazama/Kazuya Mishima, Haohmaru, Sol Badguy/Ky Kiske, Ragna The Bloodedge, Siegfried/Kilik/Raphael, Yugo the Wolf, Akira Yuki, Kasumi all in a gauntlet match that probably be like a 2 hr vid no lie 😂😂 you can do same thing with main Antagonist Final Bosses!!

Not even a fair match-up for Necalli. I even forget he exists because he had nothing to do with the story. SF5 may have done a lot of characters dirty like Charlie, Guile, Chun Li, Cammy. But Necalli's hype died like a guy who steps into the ring, trips on the ropes, smacks the referee with flailing arms and crashes into his opponent before making a pratfall out of the ring. Zero relevance, and no feats. The reason Kotal got it dirty was because there was actual build-up for this man. Even after getting buried in Aftermath, I still have some respect for the guy. And he at least wasn't superfluous to the story mode of MK 10 and 11. Unlike Necalli. Hoping to see some big hitters in this category. Like the main eventers of Street Fighter vs. Fatal Fury, or the First Ladies of Fighting like Chun Li vs Sonya Blade.

Akuma bodied necalli effortlessly. Even if kotal kahn jobbed out to most MK characters he is canonically real powerful and rivalling shao kahn's strength.

@@infinityblablabla my guy, shao Kahn literally scored a hat trick in terms of beating kotal in the story. He doesn’t rival in strength and power (you could’ve argued this for his comic counterpart but with the games, he’s below in strength)

Listen I know Kotal wasn’t done the best but he does have wins under his belt. He fought (more washed tbh) Kano, fought Rain, Mileena, win that. Became Kahn and had his own goons. That’s not jobber I would say that’s more just average. Like Li Mei in MK1. W’s and L’s. I’m in MK11 he was fighting with Shao Kahn for a little when he first showed up. He gets done dirty but he’s not a total L. Still an L, but not on the likes of Kano.

Well Necalli fight very strong characters such as Ryu, Bison and Akuma and Kotal wouldn't stand a chance against them but being Kotal does have wins on him he probably stomps Necalli.

As disappointing as Kotal Kahn kind of end up being, he was still legit and dope asf. Necali was just a footnote imo. He was just there and not really that crucial
