Kottayam Meen Curry
Ingredients
1)Fish Pieces - 1kg
2) Garlic Crushed - 15 to 20gm (2-3 bulbs)
3) Ginger Crushed - 15 to 20 gm
4) Chilli powder - 50-60 gm (4-5 tbsp)
5) Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
6) Kerala Kokum (Kudampuli) -50 gm
7) Salt - to taste
8) Slit green Chilli (opt) -4 to 5
9) Coconut oil - ¼ cup (4-5 tbsp)
10) Fenugreek powder - ½ tsp
11) Curry leaves - Plenty
Preparation
1)Sauté crushed ginger & garlic in hot coconut oil.
2)Add hot water soaked chili powder & sauté till oil separates.
3)Add soaked kokum & water followed by salt, turmeric powder & boil.
4)Add fish and boil ten minutes.
5)Remove & add the fenugreek powder & crushed curry leaves.
