Just because that woman had a prescription for pain meds doesn't mean she was an addict. Many people with health issues take pain meds, and get blamed for people who abuse meds, so much so that they cant get the actual health care they need!

I know every year I have a drug test and every 3 months I see my doctor. For the first 2 years trying to figure out what was going on, I still couldn’t get any pain relief. I go to 1 doctor, my primary for everything and then my rheumatologist for a checkup and see what progression the disease is taking or am I stable. For a bit there it sounded like they weren’t going to treat any chronic pain. Luckily I am open with my doctor. Go to whatever testing I need to and all my records are together so if I’m in the hospital they see it. If I go to my primary everyone can see it. Just recently I learned I may have been misdiagnosed. Instead of having psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis. I may have EDS that has now manifested into osteoarthritis. And it could explain a lot of my secondary symptoms (IBS, migraine, etc).

America is the most Puritanical country on earth. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps; early to bed & early to rise, losers!; if you have debilitating pain just suck it up. This intolerance for weakness is baffling. The war on drugs (only in America) added to the problem of the illicit drug trade whilst penalizing people in pain. They don't discern the difference between dependence - such as diabetics who depend on insulin or they will die - and addiction, which in itself is still an illness. Such an intolerant, mean-spirited culture.

Oh I have venous insufficiency (EDS) so yeah weird being diagnosed at 48. About 10 to 15 years ago my bones started showing signs of osteoarthritis. I’m sorry you are going through it because yes extremely painful and the stiffness sucks. Hopefully they have found a treatment that works for you.

I bet that if law enforcement could build up a case against the mother that she'd go down for the suspected murder of her former partner. I don't come from the States but I am fairly certain that there's no statute of limitations for murder there, right? I don't come from a country where there's a statute of limitations for anything, including rape cases, etc.

Go back and read that letter Kouri wrote to her mother from jail. Unless mom and daughter have an extremely unhealthy relationship, why would Kouri be writing letters to her mom promising to "get those damn b*tches"? Imagine writing a letter like that to your mom from prison. Basically asking your mom to lie and commit perjury for you. The brother and mother have been going on TV and making every excuse under the sun for Kouri. They probably know exactly how she killed her husband. They're evil too.

What repulsive women, those poor children. They lost their successful father, their mother and grandmother?? How terribly sad for them. And then the book?!? For them?!? Oh the anger they are gonna feel one day!!

So many things upset and frustrate me about this case but, what I just can't understand is, if Eric thought Kouri was possibly trying to poison him, why wasn't he more cautious about eating and drinking anything she prepared for him?! I am so sad for Eric and his children. If Kouri is guilty, I hope she lives a long, lonely and sad life in prison.

It's very suspicious that her mom had that situation happen with her significant other but it will never be brought in by a judge because there was no criminal charges against the mom. And even if there was I don't think that it would be brought in
