Ive been using KOVA for years. they're amazing. best neckgaurd out there. The suspenders are the best also. huge fan of KOVA!

With the use of the velcro 'rapid release' quick release concept growing...probably not much longer until all the pants have a loop in each position instead of the old school metal buttons. No need for the loop to buttons attachment if the suspender has velcro tabs around the loop, right?

I've been wondering why pants don't have built in loops. I used to have suspender fall apart at that attachment all the time and it was so frustrating

Question for you, in the customizer did you add the additional gel foam protection to either the neck or clavicle?

Thank you for making this video double-long. I care very little about initial “unboxing” impression videos outside of maybe being able to see the product closer than some web photos show. I need to know how they play and function after some use.

Yeahhhhh this one dragged out a little longer than I wanted. Really thought only doing the review would have been a two minute video but after I finished my first edit I was sitting at 20 minutes…

Nice beefy neck guard. My retail Reebok protected my collar bone but puck impact left a pretty big bruise.

Trust me. I know the feeling. I had a Reebok for a while and then got the CCM branded one after the switch so it’s nice to have something different

If you you’re wanting to get a custom logo you’ll have to reach out to Kova. They’re super easy to work with so either search for their contact info on their website or you can try contacting them on one of their social media accounts

I'm looking to buy them for some time but they are quite expensive tho. Regarding suspenders I like the option to add velcro tab to connect both suspenders as I use them under my C/A but those quick release don't speak to me - velcro will degrade over time and will need to be replaced. Regarding neck guard I would ask them to replace velcro tab for plastic clip (I do it to all my neck guards) and ask them if they can add it to some kind of shirt - I hate when this piece starts to rotate :/ Great review man!!!

Thanks! Yeah I’ve heard the neck guard will break in and not rotate as much but we’ll see. I’ve never heard of anyone using a clip for their neck guard. I don’t even think I’ve seen one before now that I think about it. Very unique

Hey, I got a quick question so I was on the website. And I noticed on your video you have the Velcro straps in the front but when you go on their website, it does not have the Velcro straps in the front only on the back. can you explain how you got yours in the front?

That’s a super secret custom option! Haha and by that I mean you just have to contact them through their website or on their socials and they’ll make it for you

Kids been (u15) using the D30 neck guard. Thought it was gimmicky. Bought it u13 when it didn't matter much. Got a decent clapper and he said he didn't notice. I was worried. Not sure this bulky thing is worth it. Still nervous tho.

Haha I took a bad one back in the day. The one time I forgot my neck guard and took a puck to the throat at the end of practice. My throat swole up super fast and couldn’t breathe for a bit. Super scary
