Nice ranking as usual! It is interesting to me that a lot of the main vocals are in A tier. I feel like the gap between 3rd and 4th gg vocals is sometimes exaggerated, especially with Lily and haewon being above everyone here except Wendy. Of course a lot of main vocals are W tier which is not ideal but there are still a noticeable amount of average tier and higher (even in bgs to some extent)

Things i wanna correct and update. - Jisoo would be F+ because she stays relaxed on G3-G4. Also her lows are really close to be supported. Same as tzuyu. - Same with Lisa blackpink she is F+ too. Interchangeable with Tzuyu. Cause Lisa supported G4,C#4,Bb3 these notes once. -Chaeyeong from twice is now -E vocalist because her support quality is getting worse. -Jennie and Mina are E tier vocalists. Jennie>Mina. Jennie shows G#4 mostly now. Also enough Bb3s to say its consistent. Mina shows G#4 too but not consistent as Jennie. -Jihyo should only be A3 support given in her support range cause she sound low larynx or muffled. -Rosé is D+ Vocalist cause she suppors A3/bb3~Bb4 consistently. Open and sounds full. Also she connects head voice and supports headvoice inconsistently.

I think I would put Umji and SinB higher or in different tiers. Hearing them now with recent songs, covers, and hearing them live is fully different then before. They have more support when reaching low and high notes without straining. Also have seen Umji’s duets with Lee Mujin (When It Snows or Dive Into You)

There are also factors like how a singer conveys the emotion/message of a song to the listeners vocalists have different preferences in styles (and therefore more focused on certain ranges/techniques) AND we all have different preferences for voices so ranking can be and is going to be subjective dragging others down doesn't make your fav better!! treat this more as a suggestion for who to listen to if you want good vocals, instead of a competition Last but not least, *MAMAMOO IS COMING BACK ON OCTOBER 11TH!!!*

Looking back on this, I'd move Wheein's support down to B4/C5. Her approach has gotten exceedingly light and pushed around C#5, it's not a part of her supported range anymore. She's been having issues around B4/C5 lately but I'd say she is still above Hwasa but not by much.

I appreciate u have the time to make this type of vid. But let me just say this: each artist/idol or whatever u call them has its own unique way of interpreting a song. Vocals, whether its high, low, mid, or what ever range is an important part of a music piece, and each voice has to be at a right place for it to be good even if its just a lowkey whisper. For example, just try singing "How You Like That" in a high and powerful note right off the bat. Doesn't it feel awkward? If it was made to be sung like that then it might be good. And one more thing, idols sing when they're dancing so we can't say for sure who's the "best" vocalist. Yes I get the point that they have trained to synchronize their vocal and dancing but those are two seperate elements. They need to have a backing track for them to take a breath and prevent them from passing out due to over exerting both vocals and dancing. One more thing: THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS, NOT GODS. STOP TREATING THEM LIKE ONE. Have a good day😊.

My opinion: Siyeon at F+ and Eunha as unranked are total misses. Yeonjung at only 12 seems a little low. Seulgi and Hwasa seem a little high; these two always seem to get boosts due to their popularity. Dawon is always underrated, always doing the WJSN hard carries before Yeonjung joined.

In this video especially (and in many other vocal ranking videos of kpop idols I have seen in the past), most of the vocalists are ranked D or lower while some of them are lead (or even main) vocalists. I wonder how this is even possible... All of them have (in the case of 3th gen) been in the industry for quite long and almost all have been trainee before that too. Besides that, all of them have been accepted (I assume because of their skill) to their respective entertainment agencies even before that. All this added up would make me think that all of them (except maybe the rappers for obvious reasons) would get at least a D (5.5 or just enough for a pass) when it comes to vocal performance (and main and lead vocalists probably even higher since one of their main "job('s)" in the group is delivering the vocals). Just curious because like I said I see this more often and it doesn't make sense to me, is it just for sensation and triggering fanwars?
