They all mostly really cheap and overpriced, I wouldn't be too excited about it! A lot seem to be handmade and they break or fade easily.

I'm surprised this video doesn't have more views! usually anything about Korea goes viral really fast. XD I'm also surprised you didn't do a Shin-Okubo video sooner than this! I lived in Korea for 2 years before moving to Japan and whenever I miss Korean food, I love going to Shin-Okubo restaurants, and also to buy the Korean snacks (and instant ramen) that I miss from the local Korean grocery stores! Especially my favorite, Aloe Vera Juice!

First time I went to Japan, I stayed at Hundred Stay in Okubo. That entire drag of Okubo and Shin-Okubo is really nostalgic to me. It's always the first place I go to hang out when I go back!

The dumpling soup at the restaurant you had your dinner at is the BEST. It's soooo good! I don't think if you can get it completely vegan though, but it might be worth it to ask.

My son talks about that area. My daughter in law is a model, she's learning Korean. Her jobs are in Japan and Korea. They both want to speak it and write it better. Nice you showed it off more. I get pictures, but you took the time for more of a show.

Also, while in no way whatsoever do I agree those Samyang noodles "aren't really spicy" (they are) I do also think people overreact to them; I buy them to eat and I certainly don't act like how a lot of people act on KZfaq... Related to that though, the X2 spice version actually taste nicer than the normal in my opinion and the spice gets to an extent where you're kinda numb and can't tell much difference in spice between the two... Just X2 is more pleasant tasting to me mhm...

I actually stayed in a airbnb located in shin-okubo 2016 (came to see セーラームーン展). I didn't know it was a Korean town but it was nice cause I was studying Korean in college and actually got to practice some. Even bought some kpop stuff for my friend in my class. She literally cried when I gave her the souvenirs lol. I'm coming back to Japan February for a few weeks I wouldn't mind staying there again.

I went to Korea Town when I visited Tokyo last year, even though I was living in Korea at that time :D We didn‘t eat there but I actually bought a lot of G-Dragon merch that I hadn‘t seen in Seoul :D

I remember every tiny little street of Shin-Okubo XD I've walked them up and down so many times during my stay in Japan as this was the place I lived in. It's a really nice area for K-pop fans, but also for people who are interested in trying different kind of foods! I went to Tak Café pretty much all the time since they offer vegan, Korean cuisine that's also reaaaally healthy. The Korean buffés are really nice as well, and quite cheap imo. Maybe not the healthiest though with all that melted cheese but xD For someone who's going to Japan for the first time I would personally really recommend staying in this area :) It's central, but not too busy, and it's easy to get around on using only English to communicate.
