And now new kpopies calling out Sm and Yg for not being in big 3 anymore lol. It's clearly that being big3 is not all about money or what but big3 is all about the pioneers of K-pop and has at least the biggest contribution in K-pop scene.

I’m sorry but you’re reaching..... what they’re literally saying takes about 2 seconds so what’s the use of pausing (?) And who said that their missing info they’re not even talking loud yhu can still hear the audio. Anyways don’t tell them what to do with their own video make your own if yhu have a problem.

Just letting you know Psy's name is not pronounced P. S. Y. it's pronounced like sigh in english. I also live in the US and my first exposure to kpop was Gangnam Style. He literally came out of nowhere (well at least to us in the U.S.) and became the first artist to hit 1 billion views on youtube. I knew kpop was a thing but I never intentionally exposed myself to it. But that all changed when I saw BTS performing on the BBMA's. I'm like who are these guys and the audience seemed so into it with the fan chants. I decided to check out their music and watch their music videos and I've been an ARMY ever since. I do listen to some songs by other kpop artists, but BTS is my ultimate. And I can't for their new song/music video called Butter coming out on May 21st. Lets break some more records.

It’s funny because as big as Gangnam style was, I think a lot of us didn’t even realize it was kpop. My friends and I just thought he was a random Asian guy doing a funny dance, so even thought that was my first experience with kpop I didn’t know it until I saw BTS and a few other groups. There’s truly nobody like them💜

I don't think anyone can come close to BTS at this moment and not only in asia, IU is the only competition BTS has on korean charts, maybe EXO were the only competition against BTS album sales and ticket sales, BP is their only competition related to views, but BTS best all of the competitors by a big gap and no one can compite against them in all categories, all kpop and international acts are just at a waaaay lower level when we talk about success

Yeah Wonder Girls was on the Wendy Williams show. I actually saw that episode (and previously knew a SHINee song) before I had any clue on what Kpop was.

if you watch the award shows 16-17-18 (2000) look at the performances, THEN watch BTS's performance in each one. You can easily see why they are better. SINCE then you can see the changes the rest of kpop is making to emulate BTS and success. No joke. watch and see for yourself. BTS is the Genre.

Even tho bp is the most popular internationally and has the most views twice still holds the title of korea's girl girl are still the most selling K-pop girl in the history, so in my pov it's not fair to compare the two both queens on their own

한가지 아쉬운게... 지금 소개한 장르가 주로 아이돌 위주였지만, 락발라드, 밴드, R&B등...도 아이돌 못지 않게, 실력있고 인기있는 가수들도 시대별로 많았습니다~ 지금 소개해준것은 전체에 30% 쯤 정도겠네요~ 영상 잘보고 갑니다~

I hate all KPOP history videos. They tend to forget SHINHWA. The sacrifices they made and the path they created in KPOP are often ignored. They are not KPOP longest running boyband in history for nothing.

There's a difference with P.S.Y and Bts. P.S.Y was organic. Got famous worldwide cuz of his catchy songs that people loved to dance to or found funny. . Bts got famous because fangirls that only liked them for their looks shoved them down everyone's throat in the west. And KZfaqrs started reacting to them only because of the flock of fangirls that would give them views. And thats how their hype got big.

I'm so sorry i have to disagree with you... (1) Both PSY and BTS are organic. The difference is PSY has casual listeners while BTS turns that listeners into their fans. His songs are catchy af and that leads to its success but you don't really see him nowadays in a global scale, do you? (+ his songs are funny according to you... so you agree, the reason of his success is that he is considered a meme instead of an artist with great musicality?) BTS, on the other hand, gain their success gradually. You can already see them top the world albums chart back in 2015 and also has great digitals. They wouldn't be topping global charts in the past if they're not organic, don't you think? (2) if you really know what you're saying, you wouldn't just relate their success to fangirls gushing over their looks coz i'm telling you now, it's more than that! 7 years stanning them and most of the armys i've encountered stan them because of their sincerity, lyricism, and musicality. Personally, I casually listen to kpop but not really get to the point of stanning even though most of them got good looks (which is your argument btw). (3) It's 2021 and you're still here with your fangirl narrative. First and foremost, what do you have against girls and women showing their support for what they love. Second, 'shoved them down everyone's throat in the west' uh huh just like these western countries shoved their culture on us lol (it's ok if them whites invading our own turf but when it's us being popular in theirs is where they draw the line, alright). Also, BTS already has a huge fan base in the west even before their first appearance on tv and award shows there (they sell out arenas and chart there without proper promotion) so even if you accept them or not, they're still successful. Lastly, we're not all girls so stop categorizing us as one!

There are hundreds of groups that are hot, even hotter than them sometimes, but they didn't make it. Their looks aren't obviously the only reason.
