@@AZODi also you can hear in the Pop/Stars and The Baddest, that when there's Ahris part of a song (it's usually pre chorus) she always brings that 80s sound with her and the fact that her track I'll show you is fully about 80s vibe is really clever. It's so consistent. They didnt just put out few tracks and called it album, they actually worked on it as a whole. And it's a video games company omg. Wtf? Why would they put so much effort. I feel like Riot Games employees are all very inspired by what they are doing.

I think its perfect, cause they made this song all about evelyn (the character). She is all about charming you and playing with ur mind and your emotions. So i think they didnt let the song peak and let you kinda hanging, cause they are playing with your mind.

I kinda find it a bummer that Drum Go Dum is the least listened to amongst the 3 new songs because it's my fav one as well. "I'll Show You" has a retro-like 90s/2000s vibe (which I can't really relate cuz I'm not alive yet in those times XD), while Villain is a slap for me due to its creepy and ominous vibes that fits Evelynn perfectly. But I'll have to go with Kai'Sa and her "Drum Go Dum" due to it still having some traces of K/DA's signature instrumentals and it sounding like songs that slap from 2012 (like Dum Dee Dum).

@@AZODi yeah Villain is Evelynn’s solo track- she’s the one with the big claws and sinister eyes, I’m excited for the concept video’s. And such a good reaction! I love all 3 of these new tracks.

Villain without a doubt. Drum Go Dum is a nice bop though with a lot of energy though. Also Villain and Drum Go Dum arnt kpop because these 3 tracks are produced by indivisual members and not all of K/DA. Villain is eves song, Drum Go Dum is Kaisas song, and Ill Show You is Ahris song. Eve and Kaisa arnt Korean in their K/DA character bio, so their "solos" arent going to sound like kpop. These songs are meant to represent the style each member brings to the group individually. Eve is a demon/succubus who has a very sadistic and sensual style. Her song is more lyrical focused to express these feelings/tendencies while giving a more subtle sinister ambiance to the beat to strengthen the lyrics. Kaisa considers herself more of a dancer then a singer. Her origins are from south africa, but she traveled a lot when she was younger so her accent is ambiguous because its meant to be a mixture of different accents. Her song is more high tempo and steady while being easy to dance to so their is way more emphasis on the beat to showcase her style. Ahri is more of a prototypical kpop star who was the one who gathered the K/DA members together and is the leader. She was an idle before K/DA as well. I think her song was meant to be a throw back to her old days as a young kpop idle, but I think it missed the mark because the entire theme of this EP was expressing the styles each member currently brings to the group, but Ahris doesnt do that. Its to bubbly and innocent for Ahris current style which is more elegant and mature and like you said, it sounds a bit to western as well. Although their were a couple of singers on that track that sounded like like Ahris style, the chores didnt do her justice. I think it was to cheesy personally. Also to top it off, BADDEST was Akalis theme song. But it was also the prerelease, so it had all the members in it as well since it was meant to be an appetizer for More. Thats why BADDEST and More sound more like K/DA songs, they are the only 2 songs with all 4 members.

Villain, followed by I'll Show You. I like moody, atmospheric music, and there are a lot of little interesting things going on in Villain that help flesh out that sinister mood. I also have a nostalgic soft spot for synth pop, it was a persistent soundscape when I was a kid in the late 80s. The D&B inflection of Drum Go Dum counts against it for me, but that's a taste thing. Not to dunk on Drum Go Dum at all, because there are no bad tracks on this album by a long shot.

Drum go Dum is by far my favorite. It has that rythm and beat that jives with the kind of music I usually listen to, and also is great to listen to while working out! I just love DnB. Villain certainly fits Evelynns character, but the only "part" I like is the weird one towards the end before the final chorus. I didn't really go with I'll Show You. It sounds too much like a high-school kind of track, and that's not me.

Drum go Dum, there's just so many switches where the song goes in unexpected directions (plus the energy). If you check out the lyrics the song is also loaded with references to Kai'Sa's lore or powers in the game: "went and got some wings", "I like to make it rain", "got good vision"

hey! i had a listen and it sounds like it has a couple of things. They harmonized "brain go" lines with whispering to help with the creepiness haha it sounds like they have automated some artificial vibrato i think? gives it that wobbly kinda sound. Instead of getting the vocalist to do it naturally they have done it with a plug in, gives it more of a robotic in-human feeling to it! one thing to remember when trying to recreate effects from big records like this one is almost always, you will never get the exact sound 100% but you will get close to it. the main thing is you attempted to recreate it and learned a new technique for your future productions! hope that helps!
