2NE1 and Girls Generation are Iconic girl groups. Both developed and expanded KPOP. Some Background: 2NE1 was publicly called ugly by their company CEO. Also they were bombarded with nasty comment for netizens calling them ugly. In I am the Best they explain they are the best because men stare at them and women follow them. They are beautiful. Take that haters!

For Girls Generation, their first two songs Into The New World and Girls Generation are good. Their second song is where they got their name from. It was a cover of an older song by Lee Seung-chul.

Love 2NE1! So much fun to listen to. Nobody does the bad girl concept like them. I am the Best and Hello B*tches are such hype songs and not a lot of female groups have that kind of aggressive energy. Everything CL has done since 2NE1 disbanded has been fantastic too.

Don't worry you were not wrong about how to say 2NE1. They even had an album called 'To Anyone'. I haven't seen any Blackjacks say there's a certain way to say it. I'm a blackjack and I consider their name a sort of triple entendre.

@@magiceca makes sense. 😄 if you do decide to do that please watch the Fire Street version of their MV not their Space version. Actually their live concert performance of Fire from later in the career during their Crush tour in Japan is a very fun one to watch and I think your Dad would enjoy it. They are about 5 years apart. Might even be fun to do a comparison. 😛

At the time of their debut their age range was: Leader Onew 18 ( he's now 34) The late Jonghyun 18 ( he's just turned this age a month before their debut. Jonghyun passed away from suicide at age 27 in 2017 he is and will always be their 5th member. Had he loves he would be the same age as onew.) Key and Minho were 16. ( both are now 32). With regards the clothing for their mv's this is down to key he also did all the costuming for Their shineeworld concerts. @@magiceca 16 years and still going strong. Onews in Japan he's currently doing water bomb festivals. Key's doing his aisa concert tour and is in Jakarta just now. Minho has a new drama coming specifically for netflix and will be doing a stage play. And taemins doing kcon LA this year as well as his concert world tour around Asia in August. They'll be having another comeback next year too.
