yeah personally cant stand music I cant understand. I can listen to kpop for sure, I know korean. Learnt it my whole life. But if I didnt know my korean, I probably wouldnt be able to listen to it, mainly because it'd be people saying random shit I cant understand. I can't listen to Despacito or the japanese releases of kpop groups cus I can not understand it, and looking at the subtitles ruins a song I cant understand for me, because the english lyrics translated are not fully accurate, and sometimes they're just weird to look at, as the grammer and words would be all wrong, and it just would sound weird to say, because the flow would be so off

I actually got my grandma (a 65 year old Belgian lady) into BTS by playing the Wings album constantly lol her favourite songs are Lie, Awake, Best of Me, Fake Love and Rain. Her 'bias' is Jimin and every so often she'll ask me 'hows that little Korean boy?' and honestly it's the cutest thing. She wanted to go to the Love Yourself world tour concert with me but we didn't manage to get tickets (that's ok tho, maybe next time 💜)

I don't think Lotto could be good to show them because first impression is important and lotto is a song that not all person can like it at first listen. It needs for a while to like the song. Someone may found it is annoying due to auto tune but after listening to it repeatly, you will be obssed ;)

that could go for every song though, not everyone is gonna like a song at first listen. Although Lotto has autotune, the beat is what would appeal to people and a lot of people actually don't care about autotune, for example T-Pain was really popular even though he heavily used autotune in his music :D

Dua Alam Lucky you, my mom doesn't get into kpop no matter what I do, just cuz I listen to more like Bts-Mic drop, Bts-War of hormone she says I listen to rock and that I'm gonna go crazy and gonna move my head forwards and backwards alot, then if I listen to Exo and she hears if she knows it's Exo she's getting rly mad if she doesn't know it's Exo she's like that song is nice (it's like she's got a problem with Exo,Bts and rockers). If I show her real k-rock bands I love she loves their music tho she hates rock (like Day6, The Rose, N.flying, FTisland).

this is probably unrelated to the video but i really wanna let this rant out of me lol. bboom bboom got really famous in the philippines to the point that literally everyone knows it. but it's really sad that most of the people just liked it bc of nancy (like how pretty she is). jooe is the one who actually caught my attention in that song, i mean isn't she in the center of the formation in the iconic beat of the chorus? but a lot of people here actually have no idea who she is. and get this, a lot of them claims that they like kpop and they stan momoland now. but they mostly only know one member lol. sorry, it's just really disappointing : (
