This week's Turkey Slice, Kpop songs that sound similar to other songs!
Now I should clarify, this list is simply of songs that, upon first listen, they reminded me of a song I had heard in the past. This could be similarities in the vocals, instrumental or even the general feel or tempo. This is in no way a list of Kpop songs that have copied other songs nor is it stating that the songs sound the same, just that in some cases they have similar aspects that reminded me of other songs.
(Also I am more than aware that They Never Know and Dead Leaves are both sampled from Blackbear's Dead Roses. I did not include it in the video as I had not ever listened to the song at the time of first hearing EXO's They Never Know, at the time I just thought, 'oh, this sounds like Dead Leaves')
[also I just realised that the title card is for an old channel of mine, so ignore that!]

Holy wow guys, we didn't expect this video and channel to blow up like they have! Thank you all so much! We've been away for a while with uni work and exams but after seeing such a positive reception, we plan on revitalising the channel, you all inspired us! We plan on making a follow up to this video with some other songs we came up with and maybe some from the comments (of course we shall credit those comments we use). caaarmen 10 i'm so hot, freeze and jjan koong kwang who? quit the bandwagon hating, they dont make their own music and its called having a sound you know, like gfriend, kard, twice, stray kids. and its also called samples, i hardly know anything about producing but at least i know how samples work. make your own opinions and look at the facts, with common sense and a basic understanding pf how what you are critising works. and there is also the "familiar" song strategy, you make songs sound like you've heard it before to make it popular, its very common in the western music.

the BTS and EXO one sound the same because apparently from what I heard they're both the same sample it's just that both groups did a different versions. (so it isn't that they sound similar it's just that they are the same sample just done differently, you know?) I hope people understand what I mean 😅

Yeah, I noted that in the description, it's Deadroses by Blackbear. I still included it in the video though because at the time I first EXO I didn't know and was just like "oh this sounds like Dead Leaves by BTS". So yeah, I understand what you mean :)

I won't say they sound exactly the same, but they sound similar because all the beats are hit at the same time for dalla dalla and me too. The other sounds are definitely different. Me too uses bass and dalla dalla uses electric sounds

MAny also have the same writer and composer, Iggy and Seo Young bae, and same Production team. seriously, they did Glass Bead, ME Gustas Tu, Navillera, Fingertip, Rough, Love Whisper and Summer Rain. Basically every title track Gfriend has released before 2018, which is when Gfriend decided they wanted to start changing their sound with Time for the Moon Night. Which is a change, an incremental one, but a change.

ok so i have a love for both j cole and bts and as soon as i first saw the title "born singer" by bts, i immediately went "hmm...born sinner..born singer..." then when i first heard it my mouth went :O, like i was straight up like "this has gotta be j-hope or rm, hope world...cole world?" when it came to the chorus, i couldn't sing the korean so i sung j. cole's born sinner version.

I just want to say that someone who say I'm So Hot sound the same as Bboom Bboom and Baam it's purely just a hate towards them. Like bcs the song has the same structure, doesn't mean that it's the same.

So i dont know if anyone else hears it but certain parts of Valkyrie by Oneus and Valkyrie by Battle Tapes sound similar. The main beat and the chorus at certain points. Its just different things they used to make the sounds but the beats are similar in certain parts, not the whole song.
