Im sure they just speed the melody of the song up or slow it down and a little of the preferred taste too it. Maybe that's why they sound different but it reminds you of another song.

Btw I woke up today and found out a war exploded in the comment section so I advise for upcoming people to not read it :) have a nice day P.S EXO did not copy BTS or vice versa. Sampling is a very common thing than most people realize(sampling is not the same thing as copying, it’s completely legal) and that’s what BTS and EXO did because the original tune is from Blackbear.

This video really annoys me because most of the songs aren't actually simular, the only similarities are the instruments and the fact the singers can sing well (no shit it's their job). If 2 people used pianos in their song you wouldnt compare them then, so why are they getting compared now. The only that can be seen as somewhat simular is the first segment but that can be explained away by the use of a common strumming pattern (idk the terminology). Also there is no use in comparing a group to itself as they're obviously going to be simular as it is the same singers and (most likely) the same writer andd producer. I'm not trying to start an argument or anything I'm just trying to point out that there is no use in this kind of comparison. I apologise for any bad spelling or grammer, I am dislexic and relying on auto correct. Edit: I love everyone taking the piss and comparing Japanese and Korean versions

5:36 Si me acuerdo de estás songs xd, alta controversia hubo en ese año (2016), primero salió "End Leaves" de BTS el 30 de Noviembre del 2015 y luego salió la canción de EXO "They Never Know" el 9 de Junio del 2016. La cuestión era "¿Quién plagio a quién?", Ya que ambos fandoms se dieron cuenta de que ambas songs eran RE parecidas y se acusaban el uno al otro de plagio, pero después de todo esto, salió a la luz que esa canción (Mejor dicho, el instrumental que ambos grupos usaron ) ya había sido interpretada por un artista Estadounidense llamado artísticamente "Blackbear" el 14 de Febrero del 2015, titulada dicha canción como "Dead Roses". Después de todo eso, ambos fandoms arrugaron e hicieron como que nada pasó para que sus grupos no sufrieran acusaciones de plagio de el cantante que interpretó primero esa song.
