I'm 70 and my first exposure to BTS was the Dynamite debut. It was love at first view. I've watched their training videos and how they practice so hard. Love their personalities, their choreography, their voices! They are each so talented. I don't like or watch any other k-pop groups. ARMY all the way. Waiting for their release from military service.

My granddaughter introduced them to me during Covid…been a fan ever since! Watching Permission To Dance for the first time, I cried. Especially at the end when they incorporated sign language in their dance. It was a perfect song during the pandemic, expressing that no matter what we could do- or not do during lockdown….we still could dance!!!

I agree that it doesn't matter to me if they're singing in Korean or English, anymore... I'm past it. I just enjoy the music and the "feel" of the songs, the ambiance. Their personalities and talents shine through beyond the language. I get asked by my older brother how I can stand listening to music I can't even understand... seriously? (we're too old to be so petty! LOL!) I still sing along even though I don't know what I'm singing, not just the English parts. LOL! Most of the time, I don't even think I'm singing the right Korean words, but my heart is right there with it. That's all that really matters. How happy they make us!

Permission To Dance is the second song they used 'International Sign Language' but it's not really International as most countries have their own Sign Language, but I'm glad they used sign language.

Jin started out in university as acting major, but he is not an actor or acted except in BTS-related content. Taehyung is actaully the member who has done acting outside of the group.

RM being very very humble we know they can all play at least one instrument we've even heard RM while he was a bit tipsy play a classcial piece on his keyboard at first he kept making mistakes, hic cupping apologising then played it perfectly. We've seen both Jin and Suga both play piano and guitar on stage live. We've seen V play his saxophone and recently after the his band practice for his Tiny Desk concert we got to see and hear him jamming with the band on the Saxophone. We've seen Jimin at the keyboard working out melodies for his Face Album. We've heard Jungkook Play drum's on stage and we heard him play guitar.

Your parents are awesome! I share bias with your dad😂. Jin was born on December 4th actually - most of the countries outside US are using the day-month-year date format. They don't use their own clothes in the MVs, LOL. They pick the outfits themselves with the help of their stylists. Outfits are then archived because they're often used in various exhibitions. Surprisingly, it's Jin who often messes with the clothes, like spray painting his jeans for "Fake Love". Fun fact: "Dynamite" was the first (and only) music video in LEGO history with an officially released set. [edit] Noooo... Ellen was extremely disrespectful towards them and after the last time they were guests on her show, they've never accepted to appear there again. They've cancelled her before it was cool, similar to James Corden. Even Stephen Colbert was being shady towards them when he had Paul McCartney as a guest. Jimmy Fallon is the only American talk show host that they like and appear on his show exclusively right now. From my own experience as someone with sensitive eyes, ARMY bombs are the one lightsticks that aren't as offensive to the eyesight.

As far as cooking goes, Jungkook, Jin and Suga are the best. Jungkook is actually a cook in the military. Jin plays some piano, Suga plays piano and guitar, RM plays saxophone in military band and plays piano, Jimin can play piano and guitar, Taehyung plays trumpet, piano, violin, and piano, Jungkook plays drums.

Bare in mind there maybe many vids scrubbed from the net as Big Hit/Hybe has 'changed their 'narrative', as the number one 'BTS Bible' to all Baby Army is Taylor Marie's "Guide to BTS". However.......I've seen thousands of their 'behind the scenes/interviews etc etc' over the past 7 yrs. And there was once a time when it was almost a friendly competition between RM & Suga speaking English while answering questions. We got the impression that Suga enjoyed 'showing RM'....that he was NOT the only one who understood/spoke English and did so publicly in an interview one night. Guy asked a question? RM (translated said question into Korean) got ready to answer 'on behalf of the group as he always did'......when Suga CUT IN....and answered in perfect English. Ohhh-hhhhh the LOOK that RM gave him? 🤣🤣Let's put it this way. 'That situation' never happened again. If it did? Not too often. Big Hit/Hybe/BTS ran with the 'narrative' from Taylor Marie's "Guide to BTS" that RM was the 'only person who spoke or understood English" - back then. Not so. Suga never wanted to be their leader....all he wanted to do was produce Music and although his spoken English was not on par with RM's? He just wanted RM to know. I love all their songs. I have been ARMY since 2016. When my daughter introduced me to them. I'm 52 now, and seeing BTS in concert is a bucket list item. When you talked about who speaks English...RM is definitely best. JK and JHope are next. I heard that Suga can read English and understand more than he lets on, but he is not comfortable speaking it.

I loved seeing your parents give their opinions on BTS. I am 71 and have been an Army for almost 8 years now. V is my bias and then JK close behind but they are all awesome!! They are my favorite singers and will be as long as possible. BTS have many fans of all ages as I have found out when I went to their Chicago concert in 2019 and saw people older than me there.
