What helped set Gfriend apart when it came to choregraphy was how high energy, powerful, and sharp it was while still portraying the cute innocent vibe the group had. The power in their moves wasn't very common in the "cuter" more innocent concepts back in 2015. Plus they were always so in sync and had amazingly smooth transitions. The girls practiced hard in order to be that sharp, they'd literally record their practices then pause frame by frame to make sure they were all in sync.

11:39 a lot of reactor missed that moment how crazy Sinb and Yerin in the front just delayed their footsteps waiting fr Eunha & Umji at the back fr make sure their steps was sync. That was incredible amazing. 1st time I noticed that, I just thought they're got title of synchronization performance fr a reason. From the small movement to big steps, they've take it serious. Megustastu is so powerful while Rough is so elegant.

The idea of their rough finale about their head levels are form the members themselves 😉 it was also believed that Rough was inspired by the animated movie titled "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time".

Another thing that people never really noticed is during the “gliding” part everyone’s foot is flat on the floor but Yuju does that part different. Yuju glides her heel which I think is very interesting.

Back in the days when I still don't know Kpop, my only favorite girl group was Girls Generation and then when this two songs came out, GFriend became my second favored gg of all time! They're really talented and show stopping, despite having less fans before, peeps who can see real talent would look up to them. I also added Dreamcatcher to my gg lists with the same reason and now LOONA. I mean this isn't a ranking of my bias girlgroups and who's best. This is just my chronological order of when and how I stan this amazing specimens uptil now. I mean even inactive for years now I still stan Girls Generation whew.

Great video and comments. Love that you highlighted the energy level of their moves, something that conveys impression and discipline. Really enjoy the details you pointed out. These Gfriend choreos include constant formation changes that require precision and focus. There is a lot of athletic moves in MGT for them to sustain the energy level. The opening vault and back split just sets the tone for the rest of the song. As for Rough, this is such a beautiful and expressive choreo that demands both grace and energy to pull off. Beautiful details on foot work, directional movements in addition to the opening introductory reveals of each member, and the ending "going through time" clock move. Also love that you took note of the timed spin outs after Yuju's classical-like sweep from the back to the front, as well as Yerin and SinB's delayed landing after their spin to the edge. Great work on timing. Excellent video. Look forward to your next video on Gfriend.
