Pool fence is not an eyesore, it adds value to the property? HOA needs to mind their own business. Homeowners purchased and paid for their own property. Hoa needs to stay out of everybody's business unless crime is involved. Who died and gave them the right to control what people can do with their property. They need to stop collecting nonsense yearly HOA fees from residents in the subdivision. What do they do with the money they collect from everyone, every year? It's not for neighborhood property maintenance or installing fence. Or security system. They really need to stop minding people's business. HOA is the neighborhood government! Don't buy homes in Hoa subdivision, they put liens on people's house . Fees are ridiculous, $800 a year for amenities. For what special features or benefit (for the subdivision resident)? Most of the time, 95 % of the people in the subdivision don't use the amenities that they offer. They built these amenities without asking the residents and slap the cost onto everybody. That lives in the subdivision. I can't beleve how everybody just accept one group of people to boss everyone around in their own subdivision and tell everyone what they can and cannot do with their home and property after they buy the property with their hard earned money. Your house and the land is a constant collateral (if you default on the Hoa fees). The land your house sits on is never yours after you pay off the house. If you default on yearly property tax that never goes away (a lien gets attached to the house). We don't need another form of government in the neighborhood, who is constantly watching you and your house 365 days a year (24/7). People buy house, don't harass homeowners. What they do with their prperty is not your business. Let them enjoy what they have achieved with their hard earned money. Everybody needs to vote the HOA out of their communities.

It’s basically down to the language in the HOA. The one thing In this story that’s getting twisted is that the HOA is saying you can’t have a fence around the pool, they are saying they have particular types of fences to ensure neighborhood esthetics. This is the good and bad of HOA’s. If the HOA says corner lots are required a particular fence then that’s up to the owner to know that, if the HOA verbiage is not specific to the lot type and requirements of pool versus yard then the owners should file a lawsuit.
@justicedemocrat93572 жыл бұрын
What the hell is a vrebiage?

But the lawyer said the verbiage is specific to only the property fence, not a pool fence, so this sounds like overreach. Why is it that everyone always sees everything as a personal attack? It's very clear this isn't personal, in fact it's a very specific complaint addressed in their HOA covenants. The two families need to get together and encourage a vote of the homeowners to change that part of their HOA covenants.

If they would stop building houses in HOA's that wouldn't be an issue. I've been looking to buy a new house and it's hard to find a nice house that isn't in a HOA. Yes, they are out there but they're few and far between. Most of them are older houses and in need of work. The struggle is real!

Rule number one of buying a house. Does it have a HOA? Yes Bye. Never ever buy a property with a HOA.

There could be a 4th possible solution, depend on the state, gather all the homeowners and sue to disban the HOA.

i have a 5th scenario. since they are so adamant in having the fence removed, and since it's there for safety, have the hoa board members and officials held personally responsible if any deaths or accident occurs after the removal of the safety fence

Bantham Nobilis no more power and no more embezzlement of HOA fees to the board members.

Moral of the story, never buy a home in an HOA.

Omg most cities require a fence around your pool. These HOA's have to go. Why just her fence and not the other corner lot. Sounds like to me that this hoa doesn't like this family

I just watched another one where they wanted the trees down to see a playground... pretty much all I learned is that the HOA want access to your property.

Oh, did you see the one where the HOA mandated that everyone must keep their garage door open 24/7 to "make sure nothing illegal" is going on?

@@spocksvulcanbrain yeah, that is how I arrived to this video! Clicking on that garage video haha.
