"Everything comes at you like you stole their grandmothers cookies" 😄 The trick is not to raise a flag until you are picking up your last keys.

I don't defend my loot if someone wants my treasure then they have to fetch it because I be shooting it out four directions with the cannon before the other player catches up with me so end the end they end up loosing. I'm like why keep it if I'm gonna die and loose my ship anyway.

@@aboya7ia56 to be honest I didn't have it spawn on my own ship, I was in an alliance with a different ship and we got each other on discord and they were kind enough to not kill it while we stopped everything we were doing to fly over there and we all get credit for the kill. I am incredibly grateful to those alliance folks as that's the most courteous thing anyone could do That was years ago and I still haven't had one spawn on my own ship yet. Awaiting the day!

@@derriquethefreak1820 not everyone wants to engage in pvp. I play the game to chill cuz I love the systems for voyages and I just chill with friends. If we get attacked we’ve got a good chance of winning (can’t remember the last time we sank tbh), but pvp just isn’t fun, so we never provoke a fight. Usually we try to get in alliances (they’re in the game for a reason) cuz there’s no real benefit to pvp. With an alliance there’s more total money earned for everyone and it’s a great time, cuz you all get each others loot.

Sea of thieves has dozens of different ways to play, including one where you just help out the merchant company and don’t do anything piratey. You can play the game how you like, and if you like fighting other players go for it, I’ll see you sunk on the high seas eventually. But I don’t play it for the pvp aspect, I play it for the chill time with my friends that no other game I’ve found really provides. Other pve games don’t have the same replayability as SoT since there’s not really an end to the game. Plus, why would pirates ever actually fight each other, if they weren’t being paid as mercenaries to do it? Their whole thing is to screw over the monarchy and trade companies, not each other.
