“Did you remember the screams of the forgotten?” Every night I hear them and feel the pain they felt, not a day doesn’t go bye where I don’t of them, it should have been me in there place, it isn’t fair that I lived and they past on. They were my brothers they will never be forgotten!

Whilst the people cheer, cheer for their so called hero, celebration arises and hope once forgotten, found again, looking around, I find my emotions entwining from pride, guilt, anger into one emotion... fear. I saw her. Not in some dream, not from my imagination. Her physical presence overwhelming me emitting this feeling of hatred. She knew. These people cheering for a hero, unaware that this hero traded thousands of lives for his own, a town days away from torture and agony. As our eyes locked, she continued to watch me with her cold dead eyes, her hatred piercing my heart.

When we die, even the memories of us will die... sooner or later. Our laughter, Our happy moments , Our sad moments, Shared with people we had once loved Or even people we had once hated. Every part of us will die, Every evidence that we had lived , Every moment we had breathed the air. Every morning we woke up. ..... As if we had never been exist

@Leonarda Lukacic when we can acknowledge the agony of a short and temporary life, we can then see the reason to appreciate what little we have, and to do all that we can. While we ourselves may be forgotten, we still have this moment. Here, now, we can live. So live fiercely, burn brightly, stand firm against the flow of time as it slowly but surely swallows our existence. For it is the most beautiful flowers that are plucked first, and that is what makes them valuable. You, me, those around us. We have our value, so let's live like it

Last night I had a dream that shook me really hard. I get teary eyed thinking about it. In this dream I got bitten by a snake and turned to tell myself a message. Except it wasn't like I was thinking aloud... it was as if I was staring myself deeply in the face. I could literally see my own face telling me this as if a deeper part of me was trying to wake me up to something. It didn't hit me that hard until recently as I was listening to music funny enough. The message was something along the lines of "Wake up. Whether you are aware of it or not, every move you make is leading you somewhere and has consequences. Wake up." I immediately woke up afterwards with a heavy feeling in my gut. To me this was extremely weird and scared me a little bit. I never had a dream where I talked to myself in that way and I never had such a clear message for something so random. In the dream I was walking through a wooded area near houses with a friend and we saw a snake. I went to maneuver around the snake and kill it but instead I messed up somehow, probably panicked, and it bit my hand. It wasn't venomous but if it was I could have potentially died (in this dream). I should have approached the situation more intelligently but I don't believe this was the focus of the message in my dream... it was too specific and random for such an intensely spoken message. All day today I thought about the actions I took. Each interaction with other people and even such things as general momentum I was building towards future actions. Sometimes the idea would slip my mind but then I would remember again... Thinking deeper now I feel intense emotions thinking about not only where my actions are taking me tomorrow, in a week, and even a year from now... but also what I've missed out on because I've been essentially "sleeping" in some ways throughout life. Even something like sex, as crass as that sounds. Recently I've been learning to appreciate it more and more. So much that it's become intensely enjoyable on a level I've never experienced before when I was younger. In other words: Sex, the same experience I've had before, has increased to a level that I never realized was possible. I wasn't AWAKE to the fact that I was missing out on a deeply enjoyable part of life. I wasn't aware of how much better things could be if I tuned in and learned how to enjoy it more and more. It was a total blind spot. I think about people I knew in school that have accepted certain ideas that have ruined their life. I think about people that are living in this world that are asleep to the opportunity and beauty all around them. But most of all I think about myself and what I'm still "sleeping" on. I didn't even wake up to this message until later in the day... In fact, I've heard a similar idea before from speakers and philosophy for many years. I've heard this same idea and it never truly landed. I understood it intellectually, but it never HIT me. I still went on half-engaged with life as days passed by. To anyone that gives a damn enough to read this... think about the fact that an action you did or didn't take 5-10 years ago has led you to where you are. What if you finally decided to accomplish some career goal at the age of 40 and became financially free, living a badass life at 40... only to realize that you were bullshitting yourself for some time now... and should have done it at 25. 15 years of a life you should have lived, GONE. Due to bad decisions, bad momentum, or simply a lack of awareness that led you to living a half-life for the next 15 years. I'm not trying to be pessimistic. I understand the counterargument that lessons are learned and you should move on and try harder in spite of them... but the fact still remains. If you've wasted time, you've wasted time. If you made a mistake, the mistake has been made. Life is passing by and your actions are taking you somewhere for better or for worse. For me the purpose of this post was to cement this message into my mind even more. I need to wake up more and more every day. I need to put in as much effort as I can and take the most intelligent actions that I can. If I don't, life doesn't care. Days will go by, opportunities will be missed -- I will age and I will eventually die, aware or not of what I've missed out on. For you, maybe this is YOUR wake up call. In which case I hope you wake up. Don't get bitten by regret. Don't finally realize in 20 years that you've been wasting your time... that you are letting life get away from you. Don't realize that you've been half-engaged with the experiences you have. Find a way to make this message land sooner rather than later (or never). Life is running its course. Is it in your peripherals or in your grasp?

Imagine walking up after a thousand years to find that no one knows you, all your friends are gone, their very names discarded to the depths of time where they will never be heard again, only to see your name on a building, your dream, an orphanage, a refuge, a home to take people in, and in that building to hear your story plastered on the walls, to hear of the hero who changed everything, and that hero is you, but you didn't do it, you would be so confused. I knew who did it though, and he was forgotten, my best friend, he gave it all for me, and now even his name is lost to history, even now I can't remember his name, but he left a message that said "I love you" at the end of the story. Why is it that all the good is forgotten and the best of us fall away, does no one care for the kind and humble, does no one dare speak for them? Why do the good ones never show themselves, why are they so quiet? Why is the most popular the loudest and boldest, and praised, but the best suffer in silence every day, pushed and pulled to the point they almost break? After a thousand years, we have forgotten so many names, and some we never even learned. History is cruel, when we make history, we lose more and more of it. His name should be on this building, not mine, but mine is what is remembered, not his, for people like him are the true heroes, the ones who dont care about being remembered, but care about doing good and what's right.

@@redcecrossans2189 Thanks for the reply, I feel like I did a poor job writing this, so I wanted to give more of the story. These are details from the notes I took while typing this. Sorry if this is really long, I just wanted to include this because I feel it is a very interesting story. I think what I was going for here (long time ago) was that her friend was happy to be forgotten and that humility was something for her to learn. She had no idea she was loved or cared for to that extent. Her lamentations on society are her attempting to redirect her feelings towards herself. She feels guilty, not happy, but guilty. To her, thanks to her ego, this feeling seems to be a normal reaction. She knows it is selfish to be like "how dare you" to her old friend, so she directs it towards society instead. Some context I didn't include was that the friend looked for her but couldn't find her, but along the way found many others who were lost and without a home. This is why he built the orphanage, to give them a home. He named it after her for two reasons: she was the reason he even thought of building it and he hoped naming after her would catch her eye and bring her around. She traveled through time and no longer existed at that point in history, so he would grow old and die never seeing her again. As to whether or not he actually loved her, I can't remember (context makes it sound like he did, but I did not confirm this when I normally do), but he did live a very happy life. He was regarded as a saint by the community, and while he never forgot her, the pain of losing her did fade away. The two never got the chance to be super close, and he did move on. He did marry, have kids of his own, and all the while he kept the orphanage going. The journey he took to search for her changed his life radically, and he changed accordingly. In a twisted sense of irony, he is not actually forgotten, she simply doesn't recognize him. People speak of a holy saint, not the mischievous rascal she knew. He is called the saint of the lost, and his name was some word that meant lost one, which was a nickname people gave him after he founded the orphanage. The orphanage and its story was supposed to be the biggest hint to this being the case, but I opted not to include the necessary parts for that for some reason. In the end, it is only she who has forgotten, but the saint they speak of and her old friend are one in the same. It doesn't help that the details of the saints life are all told second hand and people only took interest in him after his saintly deeds, I didn't detail relatives so I assume he had none. The plaque on the orphanage reads "To the friend I never found, (insert her name) signed (his name)". The orphanage had co founders, so she assumes he was one of them. She isn't a terrible person for not remembering, her history was (and this is straight from the notes here) "complicated". She had a "hard life" and struggled to recognize the love those around her had for her. Hence the "how dare you" reaction, she isn't actually mad at him, just really hurt she didn't realize it. She feels like a terrible person, but lacks the humility to confront that and accept it, so she redirects it as a problem with society and moves on. I may take another crack at this, but I feel it would be too long for a youtube comment, which is probably why i dropped so many details to begin with. That and I got other projects I'm working on at the moment, so maybe later.

In the mist of the surrounding pain and torture, the screams and shouts began to drown. the spec of wind clouding the vision of man. Falling in slow motion. In the midst the curtain of white was seen, covering an obscure face and in that second, it felt as if time has stopped. Those piercing Grey pupils gawked at me. A sense of determination and fear etched. My breathe hitched as the girl bore into my soul, Motionless as a statue. It was until I felt my body reach up towards the figure did I blink. To only open my eyes to my surroundings. She had disappeared. The sounds that drowned out, soon rose and as my vision became clearly again.

They say the dead have no meaning , that they are now just relics of the past destined to fade with the sands of time. But there is something that you must never forget we as human beings are but luminous beings our body’s may be gone but our spirits still remain with those we hold dear . So keep their memories alive , tell the story’s of those who cannot speak anymore for they have meaning as long we keep that flame alive.

Those eyes reflected back at him, and right there was a connection unlike any other. He saw her the way she saw him. Hopeless and lost in the world. The woman wore a long hood to shield her insecurities from her face. As the music began to increase, she started to fade in the background of the crowds. I was thinking, that song was before this, the knight has already died and our beloved princess is mourning him. It's not "Eurielle - Carry Me [Emotional Vocal Orchestral]" the one I am referring to. It's another one I cant find at this moment.

This music make my eyes wet. It makes me the remembrance of 15 years ago, while I was 10 years. Old love from parents, old love from neighbour and old love from small village🙁 I still remember and miss that moments🙁🙁

I used this music for a D&D session or two on Ulgrotha, a largely forgotten Magic:The Gathering plane. Such a sad, obscure place.

Three years ago I had a dream, these kind of dreams are common in my family but not this one. We dreams and talk with the dead people, people that we know, maybe you will think it's only in our head, but let me tell you my stories. A night I was having a quite dream, the atmosphere was beautiful there was a light color in this space that seemed infinite, and the feel of peace was everywhere, I was a fairy, like the one in the children's stories. I was walking in this place that seemed unreal, because there was nothing, and I saw a person, not a common person, it was my aunt and a girl was sitting next to her, she was another fairy, like me. My aunt was sleeping or it seemed so, I run to see how she was, but when I tried to wake her up nothing happened I tried to shake her but nothing, I started to cry and scream, I was imploring her to open her eyes but nothing. The girl beside me put her hand on my shoulder and said-you can't do nothing, there is not more that you can't do, sometimes we have to leave them, don't make them suffer anymore they suffered enough, now she is happy-. After that I woke up it was 5 in the morning my parents and my brother were awake, in that period my aunt was very sick, she was going to die but we didn't know when, I went to my mother and asked, she is not here right, she is gone; she was shocked and asked how I knew it, I said I dreamed her dying in my hand and told her that now she is was not suffering and to not be sad. The next day I went to see her, she had the same face of the dream, the same peaceful face of a person that is free of her body, that isn't trapped anymore, she wasn't suffering anymore. Why I'm writing this I am not sure, but I just want to tell you that sometimes we don't have to be trapt in our memories, or with the person, the life is long and we can't stay in the past, we have to continue to live, like a star do, they splend into the darkness, they live and they die, but at difference of them, we continue to remember but with the eyes on the future. sorry for my english, I'm still learning

She stood in the crowd of cheering citizens, no one noticing the lone girl covered with a hood. She watched her general take the crown that she had walked away from. They won the war in the end but she lost everything. What used to be her home, was now only a bitter feeling in her heart. She would never come back to this place. Usually time alters and affects everything, but when someone you love dies, time cannot change that. No amount of time will ever change that, so time stops having any meaning. No one noticed the young girl with a hood on disappear into the crowd.

I will rise. No one sees my struggle as they cheer and shout in glee, I stand in silence, my silver hair resting on my shoulders under my white hood. Pale eyes looking ahead. The past present and future lay before me, which shall I choose?
