Well that would be a good reason for Kratos to show up in Egypt. We've seen how much he has changed along his journey in the Norse world and his relation to whom he loves got even stronger. So once he hears that Deimos is still alive and getting tortured by Anubis he would go in there to involve in a deadly fight ends up in murdering Anubis which draws the attention of Thuth and rest of the gods and here is a game for ya.

I think this chanal also suggested a part lure before going to egyptian mythology part They suggested that kratos may travel to greece again to find athena alive or became. A stronger being and fight her to know where he can find his brother soul And there u have a part before the Egyptian part ( the last part i presume )

Kratos *might* find Deimos in Egyptian afterlife, but I don't think Anubis would be fighting Kratos. He is canonically the most chill of all gods in entire Egyptian pantheon. There are some stories from actual mythology that can be used in Egyptian saga, such as Sekhmet being so bloodthirsty that she almost killed off the entire humanity due to some humans conspiring against Ra. Or Horus vs Seth myth. Or Ra's battle against Apophis. Or even the story of actual pharaoh Akhenaten who wanted to introduce monotheism with Sun god Aten, but it backfired horribly and everything related to him after his death got defaced. Egyptian lore has plenty of potential that can be used in game.

My theory after Ragnorak is that the Squirrel gifts Kratos a Realm of his own by letting a branch grow out to hold another realm. Kratos goes to it and names it New Sparta and because of that he gains back all his old Magic from Greece. And learns his brother is alive he goes to Anubis and ask Anubis if he is a calm and reasonable person.

I feel like anubis and kratos will clash, but neither will have the advantage over the other. Freya might be with kratos but will be knocked away by horus, who will fight freya. While everyone is fighting, Ra will appear to stop the fight. The main antagonist might be someone else. (Hopefully) Because we do not want to see kratos go to Chinese mythology or Hindu for many reasons. If he does, then he's gonna get violated, and it will be so bad that atreus will sense it all the way in Norse 😂

My first playthrough with God of War’s 2018 was that I saw a hieroglyphs/symbols/drawings (don’t know exactly what that was called) showing tyr crossing different realms. The symbols I saw are the following: 1. Omega Symbol (Greek) 2.Nordic/Vikingish Symbol 3.Egyptian Symbol (eye of horus?) 4.Asian Symbol ( don’t know if chinese or japanese but it looks like three commas forming a circle, looks similar to the sharingan eye pattern from the anime: Naruto)

I read somewhere that he passed through Egypt on his way to the Norse lands and the Egyptian gods wanted no part of his lust for blood (at the time) and they directed him right over to the Norse lands. If that’s true, and they EVER did this, it would make most sense for the Egypt saga to be a prequel, or center it on Atreus learning that kratos was at one point there. But I’m also sure wherever I read that from is probably not right.

Well I'm not sure if this can be counted as Easter egg but in new gow1 when you reach the secret chamber in tyrs temple with that broken wooden door thing that tells stories of past on each of its corners we can see omega symbol referencing Greek gow and other symbols one of which was the eye of Horus from Egypt

Kratos doesn’t share a tattoo with Deimos, Deimos has a birth mark that Kratos matched as tattoo onto himself to honor his brother
