Matrix slowmos are not as cool as back in the days that’s why it’s now more impressive to display skillfull fights in a comprehensive way. Also the missing of later-corridor makes me sad. I didn’t remember it till I red your comment. Would have been soooo cool in the remake.

I wish they kept him spinning his knife from the original I know he flips and twirls it but the spinning was so satisfying I enjoy the new knife fight is better imo old was over the top still badass tho

The original. The cinematography and quick time events make it look like part of a movie. It's really enjoyable.

Because that how' knives fighting actually looks like. Huge fan of the og myself but the choreography for the knives fighting just leave shit tons of open with the unnecessary wide attacks while the remake look quick and tight, fighting with a knife like how the og did would got your ass wrapped like a Christmas gift lmfao.

I’m more left and right, I dont lean to one side, portayal and design of Krauser goes to the original, the fight goes to the remake, being an actual gameplay instead of cutscene QTE, a test of your skill how far your knife skills gotten at this point in the game

That's your nostalgia talking. This comparison shows that Remake makes more sense, is more engaging, and carries more emotional weight. Hell, Luis is more important to this scene than Ada showing up in the OG. Leon tries to talk to her and she just gives him the finger and struts off. Also, Krauser is actually intimidating in Remake. I replayed the fight just to parry his combo, and it felt earned when I achieved that.

Geez... just finished playing this scene in the remake and had to rewatch the original to make sure I wasn't crazy for remembering the OG being way better....So far, it's the only thing that's disappointed me. The OG of this fight was just so memorable, but the remake didn't make it feel nearly as cinematic or badass. Even Luis dying was less impactful to me in this game. That is just my opinion, though. Otherwise, this is an amazing remake so far.
