The game has two very different gameplay modes:
In Regulation mode, the game plays like a normal bowling match: Your score depends on the amount of tries you take to knock down the pins on the other side of the alley. Whoever gets the most points by the end of the match wins.
In Sweeper mode, pins are arranged in different pin layouts every frame, and you get two tries to knock them all down, just the same as in standard bowling. However, scoring is different: a Strike gives you 30 points, while a Spare gives you 10 points. The layouts are also quite tricky, with some being quite difficult to score a Strike on.
The game can be set up to play with either a joystick, or a trackball. It also features hot seat versus play in both Regulation and Sweeper game modes.
