@r1273m . You mean in case the engine would seizes up. And safe yourself by pulling the clutch-lever.(on-time) Before the backweel starts locking-up. You have to be fast as lighting. I know this from 2-stroke experience. Anyways hope you can confirm this. Cheers and Greets from Holland. 👍🏼

In the old days the werks Kreidler had a 12 speed gearbox - the reason was that the 50cc engine only could be driven in a very narrow Field of revolutions say around 500 up in the 13000 revolutions - another problem was the problem of syncronising the 2 carburettors at 17.5 mm - yes the old Kreidler race engines had 2 valves one at either side of the engine , the later van veen engines just has 1 valve and a 28mm bing car , the only thing the old days has as an advantage was the high octane fuel with led additive - remember it well becauce it smelled very speciel .........

There's a noticeable surge in power from early 13,000 to 14,500 which is where- being a tuned 2T - "it's at. " 12-15 % of his power resides there . Dropping to 10k or even lower means a long slow climb back to top speed. When he kept it up there at 13 to 14,000 He was well up there with the crowd. So he can ride with the best but gotta get on top of 2T, the style is different to 4T. Theres little torque to speak of so always keep it pinned , no 9,000 rpm turns, keep it boiling, stay above12,500 at all times, bends an all. Schwantz said his ambition was to ride a complete race with the throttle pinned. Good chap to follow...he rode 2Ts I believe.
