Actually, I think when Nene met Hanako/Amane at the festival in the past he was a younger age before the part when he killed his brother so no... I don't think he's an eight-year-old at the moment. This is just a theory but You know the cute elementary Amane? When he wished to see Nene-oneesan again that seen might have happened when he was young, but Nene is just in her past life fifty years ago before reincarnating into Nene Yashiro thats also why Hanako doesnt want her to die cause maybe he heard that Nene's past self died when he was young in the news or something and he doesn't want to lose her again and maybe thats why he decided not to go anywhere ever again when he was a child because he wished to see Nene again (Yep, this is a dumb theory, I havent read the manga yet but I saw the manga on kermit bread so I might be wrong)

(Spoilers) Yashiro got there because she got hit by a cow or smthn like that lolol then time traveled back in the 1960's (idk if its the cause of being in the festival filled with supernaturals in the school) then met amane and was trying to get back. So it wasnt yashiro in her past life she just time traveled back accidentally

I started the anime, while it was still being released, because the type of drawing and coloring was incredible and so much my type (I don't mean the way I draw but the way I love to see things drawn), I thought it would be wholesome. I watched the opening and the ending in KZfaq, and the comments said "omG you haven't seen Yandere Hanako yet" or "I can't wait to have another season and see the elevator scene animated". I said "Frick, I need to read this". AND OH BOY. WHOLESOME AND HEART-BREAKING AT THE SAME TIME. I THINK ABOUT THE MANGA EVERY SINGLE DAY EVEN THOUGH I READ IT IN MARCH. Fun fact: Did you know that in one of the chapters in manga, when Hanako (as Amane) asked Yashiro if she likes Hanako, Yashiro said Yes? That means she does have romantic feelings for him! Other than that fun fact, this is a beautiful video :>
