In the first of the 3-part 'Money Ladder' series, Author and Private Banker Franklin Asante aka Urban Financier sits down down for a conversation with his friend Krept, to talk about his journey to success. The Money Ladder is Franklin's new book, which gives readers a guide on how to make and grow your wealth, with practical steps towards achieving your financial goals.
Krept, a British rapper, broadcaster, and entrepreneur, is known for his groundbreaking music career and advocacy for creative entrepreneurship and social mobility. With his musical partner Konan, Krept has achieved remarkable success. In 2013, their mixtape Young Kingz reached the top 20 of the Official UK album charts, setting a world record for the Highest-Charting UK album by an Unsigned Act. Their debut album, The Long Way Home, became the highest charting British Rap album in UK chart history in 2015, debuting at no. 2. Additionally, Krept launched a groundbreaking baby skincare range, Nala’s Baby, inspired by his daughter’s struggles with eczema. The range is now stocked in over 2000 retailers nationwide including, Boots, Ocado, Tesco & Morrisons.

He ain’t lying KREPT was the hustler and MC in school…I remember 😂 in fortune house…KREPT asked me if I had a pound…I was like yr7 or yr8…he was in yr9 or yr 10 ….and I opened my hand to see how much I had…and he smacked my hand and my money fell…but luckily I stepped on the pound 😂😂😂😂😂 I never forget that day and I’m 32 now….big respect to KREPT for his success
