krick Najade sailed in the mid-winter 2023

It was very fine day today and I went to our local lake for sailing this Najade.
This sailing with Najade was the first in past 10 months and I was a bit afraid of some kind of trouble though I had checked sufficiently previously..
Therefore I have her run at about one third throttle as seen in this video which I think is so so.

Is this the topspeed of the boat in your video? I have also build the najade with a 120 amp brushless ESC and overkill motor. But it makes a sudden dive to the left or right if you go to high speed, and almost capsizes. Have added trim tabs but it still occures, can't figure it out at the moment. So for now i reduces the power to 25% max.

Hi, thanks a lot for your kind comment. This is not the top speed, but about 2/3 throttle. ESC is 160A and the motor is 2050KV producing 1800W. I don't fundamentally seek for high speed since she is a luxury scale cruiser, not a racer !! My Najade has beeeen doing a good job for me with the speed in the video.😊

Very good vidéo ! I have too a Najade but I have not figurines ... 😩 Where have you find them ? Pilot etc....

Hi A great thanks for your kind comment. I got them on e-bay and Amazon or "American dioram" in those days. They are still available though too expensive...

Lovely boat ken but gosh fm radio... its 2024 next week 😊 i'm building this boat also when I get round to it, just too many other boats on the go at the moment, hope mine sails aswell as yours.👍

Hi Thank you for a kind comment. I still have lots of FM 7 channel radios for airplanes which are too sufficient for operating RC boats like this.👍👍And I'm soo poor to buy additional radios abandoning those old ones.!😢😢😢😢 I do hope you to complete your Najade as early as possible for a happy sailing as in my video.

@@kenyoda2415 Thanks for the reply just seen it, I understand on the radio's, I have the krick najade, florida 26, and krick rescue jet boat to complete, unfortunately I have still got to go to work everyday and it just gets in the way, but one day I will finish them and put them on here 👍

What did you use for the motor/esc/battery setup? I like the balance and scale like speed and handling.

Thank you for your comment and a question on my Najade. Here's my setup of drive system; 1; Motor----Turnigy Aquastar 3660-2050KV water-cooled brushless motor 2; ESC---- Turnigy Aquastar 160A water-cooled ESC 3; Battery---3S 5000mAh lipo Hope the above helps your RC boating.

Hi robbroy; Thanks a lot for your comment and a question. Here are what I am using in my Najade. Motor: Turnigy AquaStar 3660-2050KV water cooled Brushless motor ESC; Turnigy AquaStar 160A water cooled ESC Batteries;3S 5000mAh Lipos. For more complete building footage of my Najade, visit the Model Boat Mayhem. You will find the "Forum" and also "Pleasure boats,Sports,Race,Power and Leisure boats". Open the "Page 2"and you could reach "Luxurious cabin cruiser Najade" with a handle name of "Backerther" who is me. I am happy if the above helps you. I bought them at Hobbyking more than 6 years ago. I think the brushless motor around 2000KV and 150A ESC will be a good combination to get her to run as seen in the video. 😊
