yeah Chris Smith was definitely the quiet one of the two. I had the biggest crush on him back in the day. I was surprised to hear Chris Kelly was in engineering school and was still working on music.

Was this their first SO SO DEF outing all together, at the beginning! SUPER DOPE!!! Aaliyah didn't show any hard feelings for being over shadowed during her verse, but this is MUSIC!

I remember this. One of the best performances ever on Video Soul IMO. It feels so good to watch this performance again, with all the artists there performing and Sherry Carter giving shine to everybody and interviewing them all. I miss Video Soul. RIP Chris Kelly & Babygirl

This is such a rare performance! I think this is when Aaliyah was riding with so def and bad boy heavy back then. It kind of hurt me in the heart that her and Chris Kelly were sitting at the same table in the beginning.

After the first album, Chris SMITH (the light 1) didn't seem as if he was into the whole "music thing" anymore. In interviews and performances he seemed to be a recluse (even in videos), as if he's just going along with the everything because he has to. It never seemed to look enjoyable for him as time went on after their first release. That's why he seemed to adapt to the absence of fame when it was over. He didn't want it and the other one ate it up. Probably why he (KELLY) turned to drugs.

CHris K always had the most energy of the two. You could tell during the final album it was more of a contract filler and Chris Smith wasn't into it anymore. During most of the performances and interviews he seemed very standoffish and disinterested.
