Yudhistra was ruling Hastinapur righteously after the Kurukshetra war. One day, Krishna visited Hastinapur. Yudhistra was in the court and the four other Pandavas were having conversation with Krishna.
“Krishna, now dharma is dominant. How will Kaliyug be? Will Dharma be sustained there from start? How will the life of people be affected in Kaliyug without Dharma?”-asked Arjuna.
“Oh, it’s not that easy to explain. Better let me demonstrate to you all about the life of people in Kaliyug.”-saying so, Krishna took a bow and stringed four arrows and shot them in four different directions. “Now, each of you go and bring back one arrow to me.”- Krishna smiled and ordered the Pandavas. Each one of them went in four different directions in search of the arrows....

Yesterday me and my non devotee friend was having conversation he said to me that I threshold myself in bhakti in very young age and I shouldn't be doing it now Bhakti is more when done in old age whenever he saw me chanting he always says that What is the best possible reply that I can give to him???

In Kaliyuga there is no guarantee for life. U can die today or next moment. Krishna himself said that we should not wait for old age rather start as early as possible. In old age things becomes v difficult and also don't go by this body, we are v old as soul stuck in material world. We have been here not from 17 yrs but over billion years and now we must make sure to go back to godhead this very lifetime. Hare Krishna

The Vedas never said anything about avatars, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. The Vedas also promoted animal sacrifice and materialistic goals.
