Hinduism is the only religion in which God says...I am not superior to you...I am nothing without you .if my followers are slaves then I am one of them...if they are poor "I m poor" if they are rich then "I m rich"...I m Devote of Lord Shiva..I m not a regular visitor to temple...my shiva lives inside my heart,...and He knows this...my prayer process "just close my eyes and say please stay by my side always."thats it.

r d that is, in fact, also the premise of Judaism. Which is why you find so many Jews - Ram & Krishna Das included - who find Dharma practice to be so intuitive and easily assimilated.

It's because hinduism is not a religion. Islam ,Christianity, Judaism are religion and the western world the modern world can't understand the culture of east so they coined words like hinduism as a religion whereas this is a culture , sanatana dharma, religion word cannot describe it

“True death is the death of the ego.” I couldn’t have said it better. Just the fact that humility is awfully hard and pride cartoonishly easy is enough to hint that being humble is uphill and pride downhill.

KD you have Very beautifully summed up the entire living philosophy of Maharaj ji. I am reminded of example of comparision of my own 'being' as muddy water and that of Guru' as pure water.Howsoever muddy, my water maybe, the pure elemental composition of molecule of water H2O is the same and uncorrupted within me too. That way Guru is always within and with me. Thank you,very much KD.

The path of linage was quite pleasent first time round, deaper second time round, honorable and excedingly insiteful for years to come, but gee doing the flip side all the way to deapths i do not wish to go again, damage can be irreversable to come back to a playful, youthful, joyful state of being. All is different for each and each is different. KRISHNA DAS, was a pleasure to have met you just a few weeks ago. Thank you.

I am not experienced but it's said in India that as you are looking for your Guru ,your Guru also looking for you.It only happens with Guru grace and at right time.Noone can push it.you can meet your Guru at right time only. Spiritual practice sometimes boost your Ego that why many Gurus don't suggest it.

Tarot Reading it is said that one can never “find” a Guru. The Guru finds you. The only requirement is that we truly, deeply feel our spiritual yearnings in our soul, heart and mind. That yearning is the first step in purification which wipe out the dust and reveal the true image in the mirror to show that the true self and the Guru was always there covered by our illusions/delusions.

Well, my first reaction was wondering if all the touching was making KD uncomfortable. Then I watched #9 like Jamie Goodwin suggested, and I saw that sometimes touching is shown to a teacher as symbolic of adoration, gratitude and respect. I also think it may be my Western background plus trained in Psychology and Counseling where there is lots of talk of boundaries, and little to no touching. I dated someone once who traveled to Ghana, West Africa and shared with me that he had to get comfortable with the amount of touching and hand-holding between two men, which was their way of showing genuine care and being present. I think we are a little bit more sterile here in the West...

Not only in Africa, but also in India. Here, in India, a man patting/keep hand on a other man's shoulder etc... would be considered normal. It is taken as a sign of friendships. And, I think it depends more on how you touch someone, rather than just touch.

This is not a sexual or even a physical touch, Imagine it's like a man hugging his 5 year old daughter as she is a part of his wife who is no more in the world. So he is touching Ram Das as he is a source of the God or Guru he wishes to connect to. I hope it makes some sense.
