I mean, an argument can be made for the exact opposite behavior... Brennan literally created the circumstances in which awful things began happening. A single roll due to a completely unknown "effect" led to a complete 180° shift in the direction of the combat. A god was allergic to shrimp. Additionally, had Beardsley not attempted a shenanigansy use of Kristen's staff ability, there would have only been two rolls made to prevent failure. Considering the consequences, that seems about right. P.S. : Not to mention, Fantasy High has always been the most PC friendly campaign relative to other series like CoC and Neverafter.

This season seems like the things they have to do for the entertainment factor are too obvious. I really like the show and all the players + characters but now, this season it's always more about being a show or story telling event versus an actual game they play, which is okay! I just used to be more immersed in the illusion that its more a game than a production. Applebees's story and arc seems pretty set in stone/ predetermined before the playing actually started which has made the character less and less believable as it goes on imo.
