I suspect they are good friends still, very supportive of one another... And that is a great place to be.. As actors, they both love each other's work and rate each other's acting skills very highly... 2 intelligent people, who value one another. I think that is a win win for both of them.

Kristen seems to have suffered from anxiety, as did Rob, maybe they still do, they recognised that in one another and supported eachother through it... He hasn't done that with KS and he doesn't invite her to his parties. They're not friends. Friends don't ignore you and he's ignored her for over a decade now. The years when they're both at Cannes, he waits until she's gone before he arrives. There is never any overlap because he doesn't want to see her or ever be photographed with her. He doesn't want to be anywhere near her. He moved on long ago and is tired of her trying to ride his coattails after a decade. Of course he can't come out and say it, but I'm sure he wishes she would leave him alone and quit trying to use his name to get attention for herself.

If it's a scheduled interview on talk shows, I believe even print media etc, talking points are discussed before hand. If it's an ambush interview, you can just ignore the question or refuse to answer it. People will learn and no longer ask you about it.

He tries to answer as best he can and be nice. But the point is even he is still being asked questions about her. I seriously doubt he wants to be asked those questions either. But the fact remains that he and she both get asked about the each other even though it's been a decade ago. Maybe the actors do try to set some ground rules about what they want to discuss and what they don't, however, from what I have seen, it sounds like the reporters are asking anyway. That maybe why she said it the way she did, because I agree it's like high school bs.💁‍♀️

She always has nice things to say about him. I think by now though, both of them are getting tired of being asked about a decade old relationship. If you notice also, Kristen did not bring up crashing Rob's birthday last year, it was the Twilight director who apparently talked about it. But the director did say here that she and Kristen did ask first before "crashing" his birthday party. I don't know if that should even be called "crashing it." It sounds more like something the press made up because it actually sounds like the director and Kristen just suddenly "came by" instead of 'crashed'🤔🙎‍♀️

Also she has a PR rep who could tell the interviewers before they asked questions to not ask anything about him. That's what PR reps do.
