As a Foreigner living in Jakarta, I will in this Vlog show you 'The Real Jakarta'. It's not what you think - trying the MRT or shopping at Grand Indonesia. I believe the Real Jakarta lives in the small streets besides the big skyscrapers. I will be exploring Jakarta, as we visit the true heroes of this city! As we walk the streets of Kuningan, we meet a lot of friendly, Indonesian people that sell anything you can imagine. Street Food, motorcycles, sim cards, clothing and so much more.
I've made this video to inspire other foreigners to come here, see the local living conditions and show appreciation to their wonderful country and friendliness.

Kristian in Indonesia we don't call older people with "Kamu", we can change it with "Ibu, Bapak, om, tante, kakak, abang, mas, mbak" or something like that depending how old they looks. Because for us that more polite. :) 😊🙏

My country has lot of homeless and some neighborhood are wayyyy worst than this place in jakarta (especially in the north of Paris and Marseille, some neighborhood look really poorer and more dirty) love indonesia and indonesian, i hope i'll visit this amazing country someday in shaa allah

When i started to work back at 2005, my office was in sudirman, i stayed in kost behind the building. The life was pretty much like what you show. If you check you may find lots of people working in those tall building stay there. Foids are way cheaper than in supermarket.And Kris....dont call elderly with kamu...😄, it just not polite.you can just call them bapak/ibu.

This is the real Jakarta and the biggest part, traditional, humble and far from modernity. A lot of it is even mess. Yet to be touched by current Jakarta administration. Sudirman - Thamrin is only small part of it. (Ini adalah Jakarta sesungguhnya dan bagian terbesar, tradisional, sederhana dan jauh dari modern. Yg belum tersentuh oleh pemerintah daerah Jakarta saat ini. Banyak yg berantakan. Sudirman - Thamrin adalah sebagian kecil)

Jakarta is crowded, many people comes from another city even islands. more people come, more problem. less people sometime better in cleanliness and easy to control.

I feel so blessed that I got to experience real life there. I miss my new family there. It's crazy how many buildings are vacant or abandoned. Pisa goreng was my favorite thing to eat in the morning. I will be back very soon. Inshallah ❤🙏
