Well done with the interview - Dream Scenario is quite a good film :)

I love how this "hot seat" interview is the most forgiving and obliging interviewer approach I've ever heard. Nice job. Appreciate your approach, for letting the guest speak. Kristoffer Borgli is hitting his stride, kind of a genius and has been a favorite of mine since his short mockumentary with Todd Terje "Whateverest," and I think I sensed some strong storytelling potential there. He's a director who actually comments on current culture, adds that edge, all while American cinema is currently still shaking off the dregs of Gen-X and the Boomers. He has a surreal and critical eye, something that hits at the absurdity of our times but does it in a benevolent enough way. BC times are always kind of absurd. So much of this reminded me of Spike Jonze's "Adaptation" (written by Charlie Kaufman) in a good way -both Nicholas Cage's character and watching a movie and laughing at how surprising and sort of real it was. Ultimately, I don't think anyone would relate more to the protagonist than creative / intellectual collegiate types who feel uneasy in their own skin, who are relics of the past and total weirdos. But I think everyone will relate to this, to what Borgli mentions about the suspension of skepticism we all experience those few minutes after waking from a vivid dream. I paused the movie just to watch this interview and write this bc I'm a friggin nerd, but glad I feel something from this.
