Kriti Sanon is possibly one of the few outsiders who has slowly and steadily catapulted herself into the big league, thanks to her super successful choices and brilliant performances. But the road to glory was never a smooth one. She joins us for the sixth episode of Limelight Lab Grown CVD Diamonds presents Her Story season 2, only on Bollywood Bubble, hosted by Nayandeep Rakshit. In this candid interview, Kriti looks back at her journey and how she's reached this far. From leaving home, to being screamed at during her first ramp show, from not knowing how to face the camera and battling stage fright to finally coming into your own, Kriti has seen it all. In fact, she also adds that when she decided to leave her engineering and take up acting and modelling, judgmental relatives also felt she would never make it. But she kept at it relentlessly and despite all the nepotism, bodyshaming, being replaced by starkids, casting directors telling her this is the best she could get, Kriti pinned her hopes and delivered staggeringly. The Mimi star reveals she was also constantly shamed for her appearance - some felt she didn't line her lips well and wasn't properly dressed for meetings whereas many even had an issue with her gummy smile or her nostrils flaring up. Yes both are self-made but in different ways. She basically talks about being stereotyped, typecasted, or reaching certain expectations that people have in society. She says in the beginning that she had no background, zero experience, zero network, and zero connections with anyone. She makes a point that someone with a “backing of a name” can reach success faster and more easily than others. However, I still don’t get how she got roles after roles despite some mediocre performances in the beginning of her career. Katrina Kaif survived because of pretty privilege and her great dancing skills. She can atleast light up the screen with that. I don’t see great talent in KS but if given the right projects, in the future, she can slowly grow more on her roles.

And as far as dancing skill is concerned..both are fabulous dancers.❤

Between 4:25 and 4:35 she spoke about in the beginning she didn't knew where to start , how to start and all of that. Wow.. the way she talks about everything.. she is so authentic.. she is telling what kind of comments on her looks she received. she is so comfortable in her skin.. she hasn't done any work (as in surgeries ) .. she really has that innate self confidence in herself. also, saw another interview of hers.. the way she talks to her family.. it's not a rehearsed act.. so organic and out there.. (in the times where people project only good side of their relationships.. and keep a fairy tale story in front of others) . she talks about her upper middle class comfort and decisions..
