I made the dressing! I've had it on a chopped salad that was about 1/2 spring mix and 1/2 cabbage (DELICIOUS); on stir-fried broccoli, onion, and garlic that I topped with scrambled tofu (AMAZING); and on dry-fried tofu on a bed of spinach (SCRUMPTIOUS). I'm putting Brussels sprouts on my shopping list as soon as I finish typing this comment. You guys are awesome!

We make Brussels Sprouts weekly and put them in our salads. We toss them in our dressing (lightly dresed) and then cook them at 400 for 25 mins and they get all carmelized, browned and crisp all over. Great on salads.
@OsculatingPlane4 жыл бұрын
When I roast brussels sprouts, I often just cut a cross about 1/4 inch deep into the base. This lets the more fibrous base cook completely while the leafy parts don't get overcooked too quickly. Of course, sometimes I just cut them in half, like in the video, (or in quarters) but I wanted to share a way to roast them whole. Edit: aaaaaah, I commented to soon!

Very educational! I didn’t know the origin of the name. We discovered them (roasted) at Tupelo Honey restaurant in North Carolina a couple years ago, and tried it at home. Their recipe would need to be converted to just plant based. Your recipe is beautiful!

I used to shred them and roast them with some garlic and a tablespoon of oil in a pan. After the first couple of minutes, I added a little bit of water to them and covered the pan with a lid. A pinch of salt in the end to finish it off and it was delicious. I must try without the oil.

I already tried the dressing earlier this week and it was delicious! Mixing it in a broccoli salad is an awesome idea.
Another great way to make carmelized brussels sprouts is to cook them on the stove top in a cast iron pan with a drizzle of balsamic and/or lemon juice. You can add a little water to the pan too to prevent sticking as they cook. Delish!

I can't wait to try this Brussels sprouts recipe and the sauce, too. I made some sprouts recently in a cast iron skillet with a little Better than Bouillon, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup. No measurements, just threw it all in. It was a hit with my family, so you might want to experiment with that combo :)

Finally! I've been looking for a way to hit my vitamin K numbers. Can you recommend a veg that's high in vitamin Q? ;-) But seriously, great vid. I've tried similar marinades and I have to say I've been disappointed but yours shows real promise. Brussels sprouts are literally the only food left that I have to use oil on when I roast them and it breaks my heart-they just don't caramelize quite the same without it and I like mine super charred... almost burnt.
