This is actually amazing. I love the midair attack you've given Kirby. The whole moveset was creatively implemented in 2D.

All those other mods that use stars as stand-ins for projectiles for playable characters... and the one for the Ranger ability, whose projectiles in Forgotten Land are just encircled stars.. uses shotzo bullets. With a glow effect for big ones that could very well substitute the circle effect part of the star bullet. Still think the mod's pretty cool, just a minor nitpick.

That's because I didn't just want to use the generic star shot model because I thought that was too obvious but more importantly the bullet model in FL is actually just a sphere and the look is achieved with visual effects which cannot be ported to KRtDL. I did try to use an effect in KRtDL similar to what is done in FL but it had some weird placement issues due to how weird the offset is set with the effect. After a lot of troubleshooting I just said it was good enough as is and added a few other effects that were easier to achieve.

This is neat and definitely well made! However, I don't think the lunge / forward movement ability has much place in something like the Ranger ability Most of the draw of something like Ranger would be staying back and shooting, and charging up your boosted shots in Forgotten Land.

Yeah that's fair. I always like when an ability has moves that make Kirby go fast so this mainly came from my personal bias. I can totally understand that it might not fit for Ranger.

Honestly im kind of mixed I understander Ranger being, well, a range ability But I also like when people use stuff in creative ways hardly seen in other medias, like the blast as a movement option Anyway, is kind of a mix case that can go either way

But yea as someone else has said, why does it use Shotzo Bullets? Ranger in Forgotten Land just uses Unique Star Bullets.

No I didn't. You can get the ability from copy essences or enemies that give the cutter ability.

@@kirbgreen It would certainly make for an interesting ability, especially in 2D. However I currently have way too many projects and to avoid burn out I'm not gonna do that idea for now. Maybe when I have less things to do I'll get to it.

It should I think? I don't know much about real hardware modding but as long as you can get both the files and the Gecko Codes working then it should run fine
