Kruger National Park & Panorama Route Road Trip Itinerary

The Panorama Route in Mpumalanga is so named for its unbelievable views at just about every turn. The route traverses the Great Escarpment all the way down to the Kruger Lowveld via a number of mountain passes, including the famous Long Tom Pass.
The Kruger National Park is the jewel in the crown of South African Tourism. With over 2 million ha of unfenced wildlife area, this is by far the biggest game reserve in South Africa and home to the famous Big 5.
Kruger Park and Panorama Route highlights:

EPIC stuff. All of that was part of growing up. When growing up we used to take day trips from Bronkhorstspruit to those towns often. Your video made me long for those days. Now we stay in Natal, so day trips to "die laeveld" is not viable anymore, but we've got Cape Vidal and Hluhluwe-Umfolozi etc to make up for that

That's awesome! Must have been epic growing up in that area. We're KZN banana boys so we're had Cape Vidal and Hluhluwe as our getaways. Growing up in SA was great!

I'm getting itchy watching this. I can't wait for the day we're allowed to visit those places again. I have never heard of the Geo trail. Definitely something to add to the list of things to do when lockdown is over.

Hello, nice video edit! Im from holland and im planning to do a roadtrip in south africa. I land in joburg and want to include Panoramaroute and krugerpark all the way down to capetown where i catch my flight back to holland. Im thinking of november/december is that a good time to see the whole picture of SA?

That's a very hot time of the year and starting to get into the rainy season around Kruger. Cape Town will be lovely at this time of the year though.

@@Strayalongtheway not much you can do now. It's rendered and online. I've made the same mistake, but fortunately caught it before making the video public. Now I just spend the time before uploading on checking spelling, as painful as it may be.
