I have had this tank for about 2 years. I am happy with it. is making credits and is not hard to play because of the good gun handling. With a good crew is a good money maker. BUT always keep in mind these: low speed (like Borsig), slow turning, very bad gun depression with the front. The best way is to play sideways or backward. It is like T9 WT. Once you get used to the way the tank behaves you can also go with the meds. You can do good things between buildings or in hilly terrain.

Was a favorite tank of mine back when I was starting out. Fantastic bush mechanic sniper type tank. Keep your butt out towards enemy on corners, fire and run was my tactic of choice for cqb. Do that a couple of times in a row around rocky corners and you win easy. Was probably my first 2 MOE tank. Lost interest in favor of E25 when I got it. Love the speed!

I liked the Steyer WT during my 2014-2016 years of playing WoT, and also because it has a turret, and not a casemate.and quite a small profile and also quite mobile too.. I have a vague feeling that it was better to fire the gun from the rear, because I think the 'headlights/bulges'' on front could get in the way of the gun depression if swung over them? Plus not a favourite TD back then? I could of course be totally wrong!! ... This replay brings back so many memories........😁

i have 1k games with this tank, this tank is hidden gems in T7 because not many player use this tank and great farm credit to. I use the equipment is Rammer, improved aim, and binocular telescope/coated optics

It's a very old TD, it's been setting in my garage since maybe 2014, I had started playing it after all these years with old crew and it's a great trainer for camo value! says that I have played it 106 games and I have only the Masters, max damage was 3394 for one game, it can troll hard.

I have recently purchased this vehicle. In 66 games I have 1.6 dpg with 55% win rate. For comparison I have similar dpg in many tier 8s. Community consensus for this tank is below average/bad but for me it clicked somehow. Great vehicle for some chill out games.

It's one of my favorite tanks in game. The patience knowledge of game and relocation make it deadly sniper. I don't know how could you rate this tank with 2 stars while it's one of most enjoyable tanks to play. The gun feels very nice and camo is amazing, you can just keep tracking incoming tanks and slap them like there is no tomorrow while they can't see you. It can definetely be agressive too when you go with other tanks in the front. The mobility is not so bad because it has no ground resistances. It is just not an easy tank to play, needs alot of skill. I would give it 2 stars for beginning players but for experienced 4-5. And it's not the tank where you can watch tv like you say, you need to be focused like real sniper and pay attention to what's happening on the bettlefield. For me one of most fun tanks to play in the game IMO.

I've had this tank for a few years now, but feels like it got over-crept massively. Its firepower is real MEH for t7 TD these days, 203 std pen/237 gold pen/low alpha & poor DPM. Gun handling sounds good on paper but suffer from WG's German Tank accuracy treatment, it rarely hits bullseye (your experience may vary). So I do find myself needing to find a flanking position, especially when not top tier. But its mobility is bad, even with Turbo, it's still meh. It's hard to relocate, and when spotted & being chased down, hard to run away. One thing I'm not sure is if it still has the old mechanics whereas TD's did not lose camo rating after firing behind bushes? I thought they only remove that from non-prem TD's, but I feel like I do get spotted after firing in bush, unless of course I play safe and move back from the bush til it is opaque before firing. I do admit I'm not using the typical recommended equipment - I have Imprv Aiming, Turbo, Gun Rammer - to try to make up for its shorting comings: being RNG trolled all the time, poor DPM and mobility.

As an "oldschool" vehicle from the shining era of WOT when premiums were max equal to tech-tree tanks, its simply OUTDATED vehicle nowadays... Popularity is like RHM compared to damn Skorpion... :/

I have to totally disagree with hellcat comparison. Hellcat is hell of a fun to play. Risky AF but well played can be so good. I have 3moe 5k games with it, still holding over 90% moe. And speed is very, veery a thing to consider.

I just watched the IS-4 you posted today, 18Sep2022 and are checking this play now. This vehicle has .32 accuracy. IS-4 has .4. The problem is that IS-4 hits just the center shot after shot and this vehicle can't hit shit near the center. It is just ridiculous the fucking fake stats this game has.

Skillman, for the game in me I won’t play a tank that can’t be pivotal in battles. Even given it’s camo values and gun - to have to treat a TD like an arty is a tough love. The camo value is only as good as tracing where the vehicle is shooting from as indicated by a setting. Your huge yawn says it all.
