Its Sunday. Time for another video.
I will do a routine upload for videos every week. Trying to balance between work and hobbies.
Coffee has been my hobby since 7 years now. From doing french press, all the way to espresso by now.
I think its a good opportunity to revisit my trusty old Krups XP5620, on which has a problem with the portafilter. But I managed to fix it a little using a little washer.

It is not necessary to use a tamper on that model. The coffee is compacted when the filter holder is placed.

Yes. the unit came with a build in tamping system. but I learn that pretamping using a real tamper can result a better results. please try it. I once started tamping with a pepper bottle and liked the results. now a real tamper does the job even better. Thank you for stopping by.

Hello! I have the same machine! How mm is your tamper?? 44mm?

Hi. welcome. My tamper are 54mm. but since all 54mm tampers are quite expensive that time, so I ends up buying a 56mm tamper and go to a workshop to mill it down to 54mm. it fits snugly. may need to mill it again another 0.5mm to 53.5mm
