Fun fact: Not everyone has an internal monologue. There are 3 main ways people think, internal monologue, written word, and abstract images. Then you have people who think in a combination, you also have people who think in an internal world. I think in a combination, if I have a lot of energy its full council of self discussing ideas and deciding what to say. Average day its images with internal monologue. If I am really tired, or being flat logical, or in a cold anger, then it is just written word that I will think in. For another thing of the classic you can't scream in your head, your internal voice is always the same volume. That is false, many people can. Literally have to have someone repeat themselves to me if I happened to be playing music in my head too loudly that I couldn't hear what they said.
