I’ve watched several paper dyeing videos today and this one is by far my favorite

The shaving foam blended the colors into metallic sheens! I saw some coppery bits in there, looks like the yellow took on gold & bronze with help from the brown! Never tried simple food coloring for any paper crafts so I will give your method a try.

Awesome. I literally stopped the tutorial when you began ironing…. Took a few sheets and made mine with some alcohol inks I made……test run…..if they come out looking how I like…I’ll use several colours to make a batch! The best part is not knowing till they dry what patterns you will have😊 I’ve tried the shaving cream one a while back and they look awesome…..I used a different method….same results. Love these pages…both the very colorful and more subtle. I have colored paper before in shaving cream but the technique was slightly different. I think I will crumple my papers next time to get all that texture goodness. Thank you.

Thank you for this method. I tried using instant coffee and tea bags but I dipped them longer. I followed someone who just piled each sheet on top the other. When they were finally dry I started to try and take them apart they tore or just stayed glued together. The few who didn't turn a shade of gray. I wasn't impressed with any and hate the smell

Thank you so much for sharing the processes you use. I am definitely inspired, and will be trying out some of my own dyed paper using these techniques very soon! (I think I had better purchase some cheap shaving foam first - or my partner might have something to say if his suddenly disappears!). 😊

I tried this with stampin up dye refill bottle- 2 drops in a 1 1/2 c of water, on 20 lb and 28 lb copy . beautiful color but dried in the oven because of our climate...they all had tears ,,i think the oven dried them out too brittle,,so next I'll try by the heating vent ,,though it will take days. Also the first batch I squeezed up too tight too..thanks again.

I was thinking as I watched that it might be possible to get a marbled effect with the one using the shaving cream if we lightly ran a straight skewer or something similar through it before putting the paper onto the foam. I wonder if you have tried that? Thank you! Again!!
