I install a Wavetrac LSD and Gear X 1-4 / 6 speed gear set into my AWD K series transmission.

Im watching this today to do my Mfactory lsd papi. Your ole crv diff will be my spare if my Mfactory one ever goes out and i will install a phantom grip on it

Freeze the diff. Heat the ring gear and bearing. They slide on by hand after that.

I noticed when you put the detent balls I didn't see the detent springs

Hi what does LSD stand for? And why or what is d reason for changing to a wave track? What is d advantage. I have a crv awd transmission for a kswap into a 88 crx. I'm sourcing parts now and trying to understand what and why? Thanks in advance.

Limited slip differential. Both wheels pull, rather than 1 wheel. At the time wavetrac was the only supplier for k awd LSD

no, but I want all 4 of my wheels spinning. The factory from diff is open as well as the rear.

No. The LSD is made for this application

@@hondaresource I mean is it a CRV awd gearbox with gear x helical synchro cause I’m currently building a k24 AWD and kinda looking for a suitable transmission. Currently I’m stuck with a FWD setup cause I can’t source a AWD gearbox that doesn’t need an adapter plate to the k series. Thank you for your prior reply tho man.

@@Krispysugar it is a crv case. The gearset was in a fwd trans prior to putting it in the AWD trans
