Kevin at Hidden Heights farm, his cat was bitten by a copperhead and his paw was swollen 3x bigger than normal. Benadryl fixed it right up. 😊

I think it was Kevin who spoke of the need to keep the black snakes around. They will eat them and keep them away.He said when they dispatched the black snakes, the copperheads increased in number. Opposite when just moving the black snakes away from the chickens.

My Aussie saved me from a diamondback snake in Tucson she got bit right on the face I could not afford anti- venom they gave her an iv drip for about 8 hrs we used Benadryl for about 3 days all I could do. Her head swole up like a Buffalo and was pretty sick for about 2 weeks I fed her rice and chicken broth for days before she could hold anything else down but she pulled through by the Grace of god she was a very healthy dog strong as an ox !!! She showed everyone what a strong Alaskan girl can do🙏❤️🐾 She lived another 8 years to the the age of 19 !!! She saved my life and I never will forget it!! Love you always - RIP Shilo Girl🙏🩷🐾

The snake on the hay is a Dekay brown snake, nonvenomous. Perfectly harmless.

They may not hurt you but boy they can make you hurt yourself when you see one. 👀🐍😆 Non-venomous snakes may not kill you if they bite you, but that doesn't mean their bite won't hurt like a dickens or make you very ill.

I believe you are right. Copperheads have a much more prominent pattern than this, and babies have a bright yellow tail. I am so glad it's😂 not a Copperhead. Especially that close to their home.

Sorry guys, I didn't abandon you all. I been in the hospital for 10 days now but I got home today. Had spine surgery and a small stroke. I'm home now and doing therapy on my right arm that doesn't want to go up above waist. Missed you all.😘❤❤❤

When I was a kid (60 years ago), my friend's home was in the woods with ponds ... a perfect snake habitat. Her family had terriers that stayed right with us kids on hikes, and they found and killed snakes before we even saw them.

Mom, Dad, Bruno was teaching his self how to herd his flock ....also, black snakes and king snakes will dispose your copperheads and eat them. They are worth the few eggs they eat, but if they ever dispose a chicken...then you know what to do. Glad Bruno is going to be ok.

Those brown leaves copperheads love em. They blend right in. Another way to tell is if you smell cucumbers, where none have been planted, run, it means copperheads are around and they never travel alone, you find one, there will always be another one, l live in Springfield, Missouri and Tuesday and Wednesday more rounds of severe storms, when you build your house, make sure to put in a tornado shelter that you can access from inside your house, yup, Tornado Alley, 🌪 , stay safe!!!

Whenever we had a dog bit by a venomous snake, my Dad would feed them lard and put horse liniment on the bite. He never lost a dog. So sorry this happened but just one of the country things. Have a great day.

@@lisabrown7959 he always kept like 5 pds of lard in our house. Our little white puppy was bit by copperhead. Dad fed him about 2 pounds of lard and put that liniment on it for days. The pup ate it like he knew it would help. And sometimes the old ways are much better than now days. Lol

I’ve had three dogs bitten by a copperhead, one twice. Thought the first one was going to die as I’d never experienced that before and I called the vet. He said “nothing to do she’ll be fine. Never had one die from copperhead bite before. “ I did give her Benadryl.

Gray eating out of your hand was amazing ❤️ Shanon check into a baseball hat with lights built into it. They're great. You will always have a light if wearing your hat. Good to see you removing the straw bales. They had to be getting musty smelling. Maybe for next winter build some insulated walls with waterproof spray foam built-in for around the bottom of the camper. Then backfill a little dirt around the bottom to seal air gaps. ****🌺 Snakes are too big of a risk to have around, period!!! They put all of your animals and yourselves at too big of a risk!! The battle of the mice was already won! Now you just have to stay on top of keeping all the holes plugged up & all around the plumbing holes too! You guys got this!! Snake bites, would also be extra harmful to Kyle with all of his allergies!! Once you become allergic to one thing, it seems like all kinds of different allergies also start popping up, neither of you need any of that!! Kyle be sure you have a new Eppi pen available also. This summer, it seems like there have been a lot of those giant wasps showing up all around the country! Especially in Texas since all of those floods!! Just be careful, use caution and be prepared for all of these things before it happens!! I also got myself a new Eppi pen. Take care & God ✝️ bless 🙏 everyone!! 🐕🐐🐐🐕‍🦺🐓***

Happy that Bruno is doing better. Copperheads are masters of disguise; any snake bite has the potential to cause an infection, so glad you took him to the vet. I have motion activated solar and battery powered motion activated lights around my yard, perhaps consider placing them around different areas. Lights tend to deter two legged intruders, so they may help with predators too. The area Bruno was bitten is referred to as the hock. Thanks

Ave seen used on other channels for cats and dogs bitten by copperheads. I keep on hand I'm allergic to bee or wasp stings. Pain and swelling. I have to be careful. If it affects my breathing I have to go to Emergency Room.

Benadryl keeps the swelling down. It's an antihistamine. Used to treat colds, allergies, allergic rhinitis, flu etc etc.

Good job with Bruno Kyle and Shanon! The reason we all put our 2 cents worth in is because we care about y'all and Bruno. I worked in the ER in deep South Texas for many years and have seen full-blown bites and dry bites. A lot of times, when snakes are startled, like getting stepped on, they will bite defensively without injecting venom. Usually, venomous bites cause swelling. Not all vets carry anti-venom as it is very expensive and has a short shelf life. Y'all did great!!👍🙏🙏❤️ Kyle ya don't have to bend down and put your face in theirs. They have an odor like cucumbers! Silly "boiy"! 😂❤

Hi lovely couple, oh poor Bruno 😢 you must have been so scared, i live in the UK and i lost a dog due to an adder bite, i didnt know until my poor doberman's head went like a pitbulls, vet did everything even blood transfusion but any shock affects dobies immune system so sadly i lost her, so happy for you that Bruno will be okay, gosh it must be so frighteninģ with the venomous snakes, take care lovelies not just of your animals but yourselves as well ❤❤

Yep, I would have to set my truck on fire! 😂🎉 Shanon, I wear an "Olight, tiny light on a chain around my neck, all the time! It's chargeable on my phone charger. I'm 68, but I use it all the time.

I'm so glad he's doing better.😘 Another KZfaq vlogger I also watch, Kevin & Rachel from Hidden Heights Farm in Oklahoma, recently had a copperhead bite their cat. They gave it benadryl as well, and the swelling went down overnight. They were thankful it wasn't a diamondback, which they also have. With the size of the cat, he wouldn't have had a chance, they said. Someone above must be watching over both your sweet animals.❤️🥰

I’m thankful that Bruno is recovering & that you got the snake nests removed! Maybe a heat sensor gun would indicate if the snake is in your truck liner? Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦

The brown snake under the hay bale isn't a copperhead. Copperheads have what looks like Hershey Kisses down their sides. The way I learned to remember how to identify them was that they're spicy kissers. It's goofy but it helped me to recognize them.
