എനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നത് നമുക്ക് ദാസേട്ടന്റെ പ്രവർത്തികളെ വിമർശിക്കാം, pakshhe അദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദത്തിനെ മലയാളികളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്നു മാറ്റാൻ പറ്റില്ല.. മലയാളി എവിടെ എങ്കിലും ബാക്കി ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവിടെയും ഏതേലുമൊരു സമയത്തു ഈ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കും

This is a classic krithi composed by Saint Thyagaraja in Devagandhari ragam. Adi thaalam. It is a blessing that Saint Thyagaraja and other great masters introduced us so many krithi and ragas that we may not know in lifetime on our own. And when we see this song in this film, it is such a beautiful setting.. a person on his deathbed who can't do anything wishes to hear this composition, it is like granting his last wish.. so much aesthetically composed and directed this scene and song. Thanks to Shri Jayaraj, he has given so many classical movies like this where we can actually realise the richness of our tradition and roots. This movie climax is so heart wrenching when the. Guru sings his heart out to seek divine help for his daughter and finally his shishya accepting the daughter as the Deviyude prasadam.. Those who haven't watched this movie..pls watch it.. so beautifully made film
