Ah a fellow animation intellectual, good eye! Allow me to explain a little. I was bothered to try and make it, and tried to for the first animation, but I had no experience with fire sims. I couldn’t find any tutorials however getting the results I wanted, so I chose the next best thing. The fire is five different sized, partially transparent, half spheres with a very extreme wave sim on it to make it shake like a flame. The frame rate however make it look slower than I wanted, sorta like a helicopter blade looking like it’s not moving much. So it’s not completely frozen solid. However, in ksp, small engine flames in a vacuum like that hardly move at all, so it turned out to be pretty accurate to the game. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk (And thanks for watching :) )

@@Childneglecter sorta. I cut out the door from the original exterior and interior models, combined them, modeled on the latches, and animated it

I definitely plan too, considering how much I enjoy making them! I usually make projects just for fun, but also get credit for them in the class so it’s a win win! (Also I have one more big ksp project I’m working on for my final, it’s gonna be great)

@@TheBestBean. I'm just speculating and out of curiosity, would you in general be open for collaboration? In my last video I applied basically everything what I've learned in Adobe After Effects over the last two years. I use KSP to build Star Trek replicas as filming miniatures and edit VFX over them

I even used jool as green screen. I have absolutely no experience in blender but that could be helpful to put the ships for example on different backgrounds..

@@manicpanda8741 I totally will be, but I mentioned this in the description in my last video, that it’s my last project for two years, since for personal reasons I won’t have my computer or access to the internet for that time. Good luck with your projects tho, they look sick!
