Tip for making those orion solar panels: Place them in 6-way symmetry and click "remove from symmetry" on two of them, and remove them entirely. that way you get 4 panels in realistic angles

Probably the best SLS replica I've seen, good job!

For Xbox players or people without 1.11, for 5-way RCS use a normal RCS block and add a small one in the middle. Edit: Also, for the LES (launch escape system) you can use a small fairing and put it under the capsule and have a decoupler below and above it. Just use another fairing for the rest of the covered parts. Hope this helps!

You can clip some SLS boosters in and make a custom 1.875m fairing around them to have a better-scaled RSRMVs.

Yeah, due to the small core stage i usually use the smaller kickbacks on it, not for any functional reason, just for looks.

Use the flat rectangle decoupler for the boosters it looks and works better

you should build the sls block 1b and 2. 1b is just this sls but it can carry cargo in one of the fairings and 2 is just 1b but without the orion and more cargo capacity.

I use 5m parts when building sls because the srbs look better with 5m parts. Sadly they can’t be orange in stock

I wish KSP had Orange 5 meter tanks because the Making History 5m tanks are closer to accurate proportions for an SLS rocket. Also, it would make more sense if there were a 3.75 meter capsule, because that is closer to the approximate diameter the Orion capsule would be in KSP proportions. There is literally a 3.75 meter heat shield, why no size 3 capsule? I haven't seen any mods that add 3.75 meter Orion capsules. There is reDIRECT that adds a 3.125 meter Orion capsule, but it is 3.125m, not 3.75m, so it is a bit small and kind of hard to use. There is also a mod I saw that adds a CST-100 Starliner style 3.75 meter command pod, but it is based off of the Starliner, which is closer in size to the Apollo capsule and would make more sense as a 2.5 meter part. GUESS I'LL HAVE TO DO IT MYSELF

i donno why, but i have a pet peeve against 3.75m SLS replicas, they just look so janky and weird and 5m SLS looks so much better. it may not be orange but imo, white sls looks just as good as orange sls i just realized at the end of writing this comment im a week late....
