Hey Matt! You should do a video where you use ion engines, because in KSP2, you can timewarp way past 4x while burning. Maybe that's how you could build an SSTO.

Great idea, if you are on PC for KSP1 you can instal the mod better time warp with allows you to warp while burning past 4x which is very useful when using low TWR ships. 👍🏻

The only problem with this idea is that currently the maneuver planner does not take into account the change in orientation as the burn is made. It is made relative to the start of the burn and, if it is long enough, you will end up burning retrograde.

he was also able to warp way more than 4x in ksp 1, he used bettertimewarp so no difference to what you're saying lol

I think it's kinda funny how you were talking about Starship not separating, while also talking about the Top Gear episode and the rocket not separating, and immediately after that your rocket wouldn't separate. That was perfect.

awesome looking base, love the new landing legs and gradual reveal of all the planets (console player with a long wait (but chuckling at the early bugs I'll hopefully never see!)) Also I heard the new plushie is actually capable of planning all KSP2 manouvers, delta v recquirements and all, it just can't communicate

with all the bugs on the ksp2 i think you should do a challenge video which you MUST not quick save or load and build all the safety measurements to your rockets to at least save the kerbals when there are any failure

15:35 My go-to for this is to throttle them up juuuuust shy of liftoff, then decouple them. in 1, at least, they'd keep firing and thrust themselves off into the distance.

Hey Matt, GREAT video, but regarding Camera Panning, you can actually switch camera mode to "Capture" and use the NumPad to Smoooooothly pan around. The / and * decrease/increase the speed, the - and + zoom in/out, 1 and 2 mutes/unmutes game audio/music and yeah. If you aren't aware, that's a much nicer option to get better camera shots. Anywho, hope the info was helpful. Keep up the amazing work you do. Laters...

I'd love to see a "Simulator" in game where you can just test a craft for re-entry or landing real quick before you actually fly the mission, (I think it should be easy to implement, because you'd just need to basically quick-save edit to location, with a vehicle tag of "SIM", and a UI element of a "Komputer" (hehehe, get it?).

I still can't not laugh at the plushie advert, and I typically get annoyed at product placements. But everything from the design and name of the product to the humour in the advert is spot-on, so even after three times seeing it it's still highly entertaining. Well done! Also, I'm impressed you managed to get a whole base into orbit, let alone onto another planet, in KSP2, what with the single-point connection. Still wish they'd fix that.

when you see anything in a 1x speed, it looks like the sun goes around us. or the light source goes around the map, which in games is usually the case. but as soon as you speed it up significantly, it actually feels like you are moving instead.

If you want to do a slow cinematic pan, you can use a controller you have along with steam input, mapping your joystick to mouse movement!

Apparently in the new capture camera mode you can use the number pad to do panning shots. I don’t have a number pad on my setup so I haven’t messed with it. But it might come in handy for your videos

There actually is a way to do smooth camera shots with the arrow keys in KSP 2. One of the devs talked about it in one of the patch notes on steam. Can't remember how exactly it worked though...

You know... you can make your rockets shorter by adding boosters. lol Honestly, I don't even use separators, the boosters are part of the lower stage and the lower stage rocket is just for that initial first push and and once the boosters themselves run out. I just set the boosters to like 50% thrust or something, very controllable can even use them during circularization. By the time they run out their so weightless it doesn't matter if I leave them or not.

i like KSP2 but i whait bevor i start playing many many hours till the outpost building and ressoruce gathering is in. So i can build outpost where i can proces gathered ressoruces and continue my journey depper in space from there, and of course space stations. So i'm realy looking forward when this stuff is in but i think i takes atleast 2 years or so till the stuff from the roadmap is in i whant. A good friend bought me the game on launch to support the devs but we whait till the devs are on the features from the roadmap that we whant. Nice video

I've not seen anything on ksp2 yet, is it having teething trouble? Not seen people make videos on it since launch.. It looks a bit rough in my opinion.. maybe needs alot of work? Or am i wrong? And the game is exactly as was advertised on the lead up to release?
