This is officially Kerala RTC's longest bus route. There is only one KSRTC Garuda Maharaja Scania bus that leaves every day from Kollur and Thiruvananthapuram and vice versa. This is a 2:15 pm bus from the Kollur bus stand. Kollur is famous for the Mookambika Temple and a lot of devotees travel here both from Karnataka and Kerala.
Kollur is a village in the southern state of Karnataka. It is located in the Byndoor taluk of Udupi district in Karnataka. I took the local bus from Mangalore to Kollur which takes around 3 - 4 hours to reach. This is a very scenic bus route as you get to experience the beautiful coastal routes of both states i.e. Karnataka and Kerala. This bus goes majorly via the NH 66 route. The route from Kollur to the NH 66 is also very scenic. This is my first journey on this route and I simply loved the route and the driving of our driver Harith. I have done quite a few trips now on Thiruvananthapuram to Bangalore route.
